He created a new .deb file for the My Location App with no need to go thru all those steps above, just download, install and respring.
This is not a new deb file, it is the same one that is in my sig below. Not sure why one would work and not the other???

Hey man - for some reason, can't get the file to download/open. It brings up a Word .doc only that gets an error when trying to open?!?

People keep forgetting to include the permissions setting aspect to the mobile/documents folder. Bushel's original deb somehow addresses that. And also doesn't require to uninstall the old one. I too have had to jump thru hoops with the MyLocation install after a jailbreak. It's just not a consistently easy install that works every time for everyone using the same instructions. Maddening.. :-(

I'm still using Rasputins method and have a safari bookmark works like a charm as does the mylocation app for many. If your struggling with the app find Rasputins method and give that ago there is no reason at all for that not to work.

Correct about permissions that's what the problem was for me a couple weeks back when I tried the app again set app permissions and the document folder permission.

Chevy, where can I get the new link to download these from? The current link only has a doc file with the updated links for both the ls and the widget but when I go to either one they are no longer in the dropbox?

Set it to 24hr mode thus removing the PM.

  15. #2293
is there a way to move them more apart?

Yes, of course.. Go into the .css file and look for #am/pm or something like that.. And then play with the "left: xx px" number - where xx is a number of pixels. Hit Save and Done. You'll have to Respring in between each try to see result. Or simply open the Widget.html file using WebPage mode in iFile. To see a preview of your results without Respringing.

Now that I look at that widget again there isn't enough space for everything you want including the seconds. Your best bet is to go into the main.JS file, I think, and change the way September is spelled down to an abbreviated form. Simply change "September" to "Sept" and then do the same for all the months of the year in English. Or choose a smaller system font. The creator of the widget obviously used a smaller font.
