GPS Based HTML Lockscreen Weather Theme

I have now combined the 2 methods, which I mentioned on this page GPS and Shell Scripts. I now have the current weather from WorldWeatherOnline (bottom scrolling iframe) with the 5 day forecast, plus the hour by hour forecast from uk.weather.com (top scrolling iframe).
Location name (not seen as out of iframe) is from Google.
No more Yahoo Weather!

I agree, if you were to use them individually, but there is a lot of redundancies in the code that can be eliminated and then combined.

I think the only real issue here is that the UniAW code needs to be updated with the forecast info and that would cover 90% of what she wants to accomplish.

that's easy with the config file.

for this of course you have to change the code in the Weather.js too

1. Download the theme from Cydia

This is my first Lockscreen theme! Hope you like it!

Download from Cydia : "Wallpaper JPEGifier" as the theme uses lockscreen wallpaper as background. (requires respring after changing wallpaper)

Features :
-------------
- The theme does not require manually editing the weather location codes.
- The location code is obtained automatically via Yahoo Place Finder API based on your latitude/longitude.
- The weather/location is refreshed automatically when you move to a new place.

The theme is divided into two parts
1. "HTML theme" - that reads your co-ordinates and then displays weather and location.
2. "Application" - that uses Location Services to get your co-ordinates (latitude/longitude).

Installation Instructions :

1. Download the theme from Cydia
2. Open application MyLocation from your homescreen and turn on "Sig. Change" only. Allow application to use Location Services and then close the application.

Note:
====
1. This theme uses Location Services and the location services icon will always be visible on the status bar
2. In the application "MyLocation" turn on only Sig. Change. This is more battery efficient as per Apple. For more information read "Significant-Change Location Service" https://developer.apple.com/library/...eLocation.html
3. The application needs to be launched only once after installation. The location will be updated even if the application is terminated by the user or ios. There is no need to relaunch the application after reboot.
4. I have tested this on ios 5.01/iPhone 4

Not sure this would run on the iPod 2G, but the simpler version with just the WorldWeatherOnline weather and next 5 day forecast displays fine on my 2G, but does not scroll.
You are welcome to try that, MMUS repo (apt.mmus.us), look for "Shell Skin". Please read the info, as you need a free API key from WorldWeatherOnline! GPS web server PLUS is recommended because of the autostart script.

Copy the API key into Notepad/Wordpad and save it as key.txt, and that key.txt file goes into /var/www on your iPhone/iPod/iPad.
