I was looking through the requests on the repo and saw an IKEA request, rather than doing a C&P I thought I'd create a chest of drawers

Maybe the shadows/gaps need to be darker?

I love it! Maybe a little darker but it's rad.

One day when I can do more than copy, paste & modify I hope to fill requests too.

Most of the requests are filled with c/p...and most people are satisfied with them (unless they specifically asked for more). Don't be discouraged from contributing

^ This.. Even a C/P icon can be made truly beautiful and unique with a new texture or change of lighting. It's also a really good way to improve your skills. It's how I started. I still have my very first Jaku icon sitting on my desktop as a reminder of how far I've come, because my first ever Jaku icon SUCKED!!!

Keep it up. If you have a C/P idea that will satisfy a request, give it a go! If nothing else, you've gotten that much more experience under your belt.

For one night, and one night only, the worst icons I've ever made.... I show you these only to demonstrate that we all start somewhere.

    God forgive me for this.

The first is on the left and the work evolved to the right. None of these were ever released for obvious reasons, but there you go. Keep at it.

Thanks for the encouragement gents. As soon as I have a couple of hours up my sleeve I want to create Jaku icons for all the apps in my son's folder, which will be just the practice I need. He's got a heap!

I believe this will be my final answer on the White/Blue Clear or DropList icon. A little white, a little satin, a little blue.
This was a nice revisit, but now I want to make something new.

    Nice!

I think this satin background (the white part) compliments the check mark more then it did in the previous one.

I agree completely. I noticed there was more green in that first one than I actually noticed. I had my color balance wrong and once the lighting in here changed I saw it again and thought "What in the hell???"

I had to get the color right or it would have haunted me..

    Dear Bryan or Bankai...
Any chance we could get that version of my Clear icon with the green undertone I missed yanked out of the repo?
I really am unhappy with it and I don't seem to have delete rights even though I uploaded it.

Thank you. I'm uploading the good one now.

Also, sorry about this. I was going to update the first "clear" icon as Droplist, since that what it was for. I accidentally uploaded the same Clear icon for Droplist....
So, 1. Kill the green hued ugly. 2. Kill the accidental Droplist upload. 3. Change the smaller checkmark icon to Droplist instead of Clear.
Or, if you can grant me permissions I'll fix it myself because it's my mess.

Oh wait, I found delete! I'm on it!

I really like the inspiration from you chaotic and bjbinc
My problem is how to find the patterns and such for the background images

And how do you cut out images without jagged lines? Mine always look all jagged and choppy looking
