I just downloaded this theme and looking forward to modding it. How do I add the new icons? I use iFile currently? Gonna take awhile to go through all 500+ pages

    Welcome to Jaku!

Be sure to check out Jaku Community Icons - It has pretty much every icon made to date.

Jaku uses a theming method known as the Bundles method. If you take a look in the Jaku Core.theme folder, you will see a folder named Bundles. In that folder are subfolders for each individual app currently themed by Jaku. The odd names you see in there are actually the app's Bundle Identifier.

The easiest way to find a particular app's Bundle ID is to use a cydia app called AppInfo. I'll use Google Chrome as an example:

So you would create a new folder inside your main Themes.xxxx folder named Jaku Custom.theme Then create a folder inside that folder named Bundles

In the Bundles folder is where we place all our custom icons. So create a folder named com.google.chrome.ios in your new Bundles folder

The next thing we need to know is what to name the icon we put inside that folder. Again, we can use AppInfo to find this information:

Now as you can see...it's not quite as straight forward as finding the Bundle ID. AppInfo lists several different icon names. How do we know which to use? Typically, it will be the one ending in @2x.png ([email protected] in this case). Sometimes you just have to use good 'ole intuition to figure out which one looks right. You can always just use the process of elimination to figure it out.

In this example...our structure would be Themes.xxxxx/Jaku Custom.theme/Bundles/com.google.chrome.ios/[email protected]

Once you have your folder and icon named correctly, you will need to respring. A simple respring through SBSettings won't always work. You need clear your icon cache as well. There are a few different ways of doing this. The first is to use Winterboard. Open Winterboard and simply deselect and reselect the first theme in the list. Then go back to the main Winterboard screen and tap Respring.

There are also a couple of Cydia tweaks that respring and clear your cache...one is called iWipe and the other is simply Respring

That should get you on your way...good luck!

Well...that's good. But believe me...there are times when it doesn't. I'd rather explain to him the correct/safe way to do it than have him come back and say my instructions didn't work
