I have gps turned to false to save battery and I have correct yahoo location but it doesn't update often like it should? It's been 3 hours with no update and it's set for 20 minutes. Also. Anyone else notice these widgets really use alot of RAM? Every time I look it's down to 20. Thanks

04-24-2012, 10:48 PM #1968Adding barometric pressure
Hi Ian...I'm replying to a post that isn't related
to the question I have because for some reason
I can't figure out how to start a 'new' post.
One item that I would like to add is
Pressure to UniAW.js. Is this something that is relatively
simple? I am grateful for any tips and help. I'm also
wondering what the <div> would be
There is no Thanks button visible so please consider
this sentence as me pressing the button several times!!
Thank you !!!

Here is the element and description. you will need to add a div to the HTML, a js function, and edit the css file for display
You will also need to deal with the units and the different states if you want that info also
Forecast information about current atmospheric pressure. Attributes:
•pressure: barometric pressure, in the units specified by the pressure attribute of the yweather:units element (in or mb). (float).
•rising: state of the barometric pressure: steady (0), rising (1), or falling (2). (integer: 0, 1, 2)

1. In the UniAW.js file add the line in the correct place (DealWithWeather function) as per the screen shot below:
2. Still in the UniAW.js file, add these two lines in the correct place (xml_loaded function) as per the screen shot below:
3. In the Widget.html file add the div as per the screen shot below:
4. In the UniAW,css file add the settings as per the screen shot below. (These are just to show you it works, you will need to adjust them to place the text where you want)
5. Good luck.

Thank you very much for the help. Now my goal is to have it show pressure in inches. I'll research yweather elements and hopefully find something there. You are very generous with your time and knowledge it is appreciated.

Does anyone have any ideas on why the widget doesn't update when GPS is turned off? its set to 20 minutes but never updates. I am using the V5 widget with the Rolex looking clock. I like the GPS but it absolutely kills my battery..
04-25-2012, 06:34 AM #1977
Regarding the flipclock, I have tried to mimic the V5 ( with the chaging images) and it does work (ie images change in the background along with weather conditions)...but it is very laggy
any reason for that?
what i did was:
copied over the folder called "Icon Sets" with the Custom folder into the Folder: UniAW5.0-GPS & then amended the file: UniAW.js
document.getElementById("weatherIcon").src="Icon Sets/Custom/" + obj.icon + ".jpg";

var refreshWeatherTimerNormal = setTimeout('weatherRefresherTemp(zip)', updateWeatherEvery);
Don't know why it's laggy, I don't use it so haven't really tested it but it is getting very big, animated weather (UniAW) + animated flip clock + 4 day forecast + changing backgrounds, maybe all this is just too much for an iPhone4, might be ok on the 4S though.
