    At the bottom of first post on page one is a uniaw lock I did.
    It has a separate HTML running in it for timed backgrounds to display throughout the day
    Easy enough to add to another lock as the BGs if you want to look at it

    Thanks, i just downloaded it and had a short look.
    Looks also very nice with beautifull pictures, do the numbers in the TimedBG correspond with the 47 Yahoo weather codes?
    I do not necessarely need morning, afternoon, evening etc pictures but would be nice to have during the day a different weather background as in the evening/night. (i now have sometimes a sunny backgroundwallpaper with a moon)

    @ Klont, It doesn't need to be confusing, see below.

    So, I can't find the one I did earlier, but now that I think about it it won't work now as the Json link does not work anymore.

    So, I hope I understand you correctly, here is how to add full screen backgrounds (change according to weather conditions) plus still have all the usual stuff working, this is for any working UniAW with gps enabled or not.

    1. Download and unzip THIS iconset, they are sized for iph4 but you can replace the images as you like, just keep the file name the same.

    2. From the unzipped file you just downloaded, put the folder called "Custom" into your "Icon Sets" folder.

    3. Open your html file and add this line of code into the body section:
    <img id="weatherIcon">

    4. Open your Main.css file and add these lines of code:
    #weatherIcon{
    position:absolute; top:0px; left:0px; width:320px; z-index:-99;
    }


    4. Open your UniAW.js file and add this line of code at the end of the "dealWithWeather" function in both the gps or non gps options:
    document.getElementById("weatherIcon").src="Icon Sets/Custom/" + obj.icon + ".jpg";
    See screen shot below for an example.



    So, that's all there is to it, It's really not that complicated, here is a quick snap shot off my Mac to prove it works.
    I hope this is what you were after? If not, then I apologize for not understanding you fully.

    I have added this in the UniAW6, only I added the opacity in the css file and set it to 0.0, so it's invisible but at least it's in their for an option when people are modding things.

    Thanks a lot for helping Ian i realy appreciate you taking the time, but this is what is allready now built in te LS i use and is half i am looking for.

    This coding gives indeed a full screen picture according the 47 Yahoo weathertypes which means in this case you are only given a day and night picture for the following weather types.
    27.jpg mostly cloudy (night)
    28.jpg mostly cloudy (day)
    29.jpg partly cloudy (night)
    30.jpg partly cloudy (day)
    33.jpg fair (night)
    34.jpg fair (day)

    31.jp clear (night) is obvious only in the night and 32.jpg sunny is obvious only during the day.

    Yesterday the weathertype in my place was Haze (Yahoo weathertype/code 21 --> =Background 21.jpg ) i had this the whole day and also in the evening, which gave me the enclosed picture.
    This picture is no problem and nice during the day but in the evening i find it strange to have a sunny picture as a background when the sun is already longtime gone...
    So therefore for this weathertype i also want a picture for the evening day_21.jpg + night_21.jpg.

    @rasputin007 this is indeed what i am looking for, after sunset a different picture for each weathertype.

    I looked for the var currentTime, but it looks different compared to what you mentioned on previous page.
    This is what i have.

    (only i have not found a obj.TOD somewhere in the files)

    It is trial and error, but i like puzzles

    Ok, I'll leave it to you M8, when you get it working could you please share the code, I'll include it in version 6.

    I did this way back in versions, it used many html files for the animations and displaying BG images, to differentiate from day & night I used this script to get around the problem, of coarse this just changed everything to nighttime images/animations after 5pm, but it was the first workaround for the issue..

    OK, had a quick look through and found solution, (quick and dirty ), but works.

    Lets say you place your 94 wallpapers (47 for day and 47 for night -roughly as not all 47 Yahoo codes need both day and night) in Images/day_night/ and name them 1day.png, 1night.png, 2day.png, 2night.png ... etc, then look for this section in UniAW.js

    I'm letting it run through a 24 hour cycle just to be sure all is working correctly. Gonna drop it tonight. The wiper was going to be a lot more work, and I didn't want to rush it. Look at my weather condition js files, they have the updated circle rain drops in them that gets activated by a config option.

    Iv'e got a weird issue.

    For the past two days now I wake up to find that the animations are all gone! But the last update was just minutes ago. I have left the phone for a couple of hours during the day to try and replicate the issue but it seems it needs to be longer than this, are you or Dacal seeing anything like this?

    You can see my start date Gunny. I was also just a guest here for a year before that. But all main credit of course goes to MJ for the idea of 'timed' walls based on outdoor time of day - which I hadn't seen anywhere until MJSmash. But they were every 2 hours in MJ's original. I made the suggestion - hey how about every hour to MJ. And she incorporated it into MJSmash version 1. Correct me if I'm wrong, Gunny - but I don't think any modders had created the hourly outdoor walls concept before that. Had they? If so - who? What thread?
