This is me for the day...glass layers in cross with added glow detail. I used a stock PS pattern in the skewed dock for user control-glow, depth, etc.

Edit: I'm using shrink at 95% and 5x5.

Use this I made for inzns. Glow wall

Look at the images inside. Basically cut out your inner blue on the cross and leave it on a transparent canvas same size as the original wall with transparent center on the cross.
Integrating the forecast after is a little more tricky though but this code you could probably add to the forecast html/css.

See if you can do it otherwise send me your forecast and I'll integrate them on the weekend for you

Awesome! You saved me a tone of time. I do recall playing with your code at Twilight as well. I do have a way to get iWeather working with animated locks so I think I'm all good.

I'll share tomorrow if I find time.

Pretty sure you can add gradients of all types.
