[beta] Colorgasm HD

I am proud to announce the highly anticipated beta release of Colorgasm HD. A colorful and attractive theme crafted in true high-definition exclusively for the Retina Display. This package is complete with over 100 professionally designed icons that compliment classy and minimalistic upgrades to the iOS user interface. Updates will be released weekly. I hadn't seen TouchIt until you mentioned it. I like that style, very clean, very slick.

Well if you give it a try, let me know what you think I should do moving forward.. I've become a bit indecisive near the end of this project so hearing other peoples' opinions helps a lot. Thanks!

I was actually just working on the slider. I updated the screenshot, I'm partial to minimalism when it comes to the UI, I feel it makes the icons pop, in this theme especially. I'm tired and calling it a night tonight, but I'll be at it again tomorrow making a good amount of last-minute alterations before I submit it for sale in Cydia.

Is there a way to auto theme the app icons that you haven't made? Such as a matte overlay?

I have them auto-masked to maintain the same size and shape of unskinned icons, and I've removed the "glossy" overlay that iOS forces on a lot of apps. But as far as a matte overlay, it's difficult because the glyphs of my icons are placed above the matte gradients so to keep the patterns and shadowing off of the shapes/logos. So as it stands, if I added an auto-overlay, it would put the patterns (stripes/plaid/polka dots) on top of the entire icon and look very messy.

I am currently making a ton more icons to be released every week, so if you find some icons you'd like skinned, please email me. (Please limit 5 icons per request for the time being) I have also added the PSD files inside the theme, so it's quite simple to make an icon if you find that you have an app that this theme doesn't cover.

Yes they the icons in this theme are a different size and shape than the stock icons. But the auto-mask should be resizing and cropping any icons that don't have a theme'd version. I'll look into it thanks.

Yea the Auto mask works fine. Sorry I was looking at some apps that have the gloss look built in. But yea the icons and the folders that are in the theme are just a little smaller than the regular icons. The bottom 3 icons in the folder when closed seem to be overlapping the border. Great theme regardless!

You're right, I'll draw up a fix for the folder problem tonight and send you an updated version. Thanks man. Let me know if you find anything else sketchy

Just a quick ?
The wifi bars, there are 5 versions of them but usually the default wifi bars only go to three. Does that mean that there is always going to be those two silver bars? Or could you just copy and rename the wifi3.png twice to replace wifi4 and wifi 5 bars?

I had noticed that too. It's strange because Springboard gives us 5 images of wifi-status, yet iOS 4 seems to only be capable of translating your connection into 3 intervals. I'll either combine 1&2, 3&4, 5&6, to make each level 2 bars worth, or I might make the bars wider and have only 3. I think the first option sounds the best since the "theme" of this theme is color it would make sense to have 6 colors, 2 for each level of Wifi connection. I'll see what looks best and add that to v1.1.

i cannot wait for this release either, i love the more 'animated' look icons and the colours look really nice. I've been using a theme that was just grey and transparent for a while and this will be a nice change.

Sorry to revive an older thread, but there might still be some people unaware of Bloom HD, a "follow-up" of sorts to Colorgasm. Consider it Colorgasm 2.0.

My newest theme and project is Newport for iOS 5+. The community (and myself included) have been working tirelessly to contribute additional icons and fulfilling icon requests. It is a comprehensive theme that includes unique icons, lockscreen and a completely themed user interface.
