Hey wyndwarrior, I just came up with an idea that would make dreamboard much faster and use less resources than before especially for people like me. Seems to be a simple idea and hopefully doable: disable all mobile substrates (besides winterboard and some exceptions) when entering dreamboard.

I love dreamboard and recognise its ability to get rid of the need for all mobile substrates especially springboard modifiers because it can all be done via dreamboard. Just like in cydia, the app is much faster and more stable because it disables all springboard extesions when you enter the app. I have over 60+ mobile substrates and am absolutely sure that they are the reason for at least most of the safe modes I get while using dreamboard as well as hogging essential memory that is needed for dreamboard. The best implementation would be to have it disable all mobile substrates by default but have a settings in dreamboard where you can choose to set exceptions for mobile substrates not to be disabled.

The idea of a settings in the dreamboard app I feel would be very helpful to toggle certain things and maybe you could add the mod someone made to set the plus sign in endroid to change the wallpaper and pressing on the widget will toggle the weather. Maybe you could even implement other settings from mods you made like disabling the statusbar or no page scrolling (for nav springjump themes).

Can I remove the facebook widget from the spotlight somehow? It doesn't work for me after about a dozen safari login/resprings and I really prolly don't need it anyway....thanks!

go to the plist, inside the second to last item, and into subviews... the bottom fey are the widgets, on being the Facebook widget and another being its frame

aslong as there's an exceptions list, i think it's a good idea

Thats what BackBoard does for OS7. It disables all conflicts/memory hogs. so it's definitely doable.

The second to last item i show in the endroid.plist is a string for endroid/Images.....
I have a Widgets/Facebook item that is third from the end but there is no "Subviews" key in that one.
There is a "Subviews" key above the third from the last that has ClipToBounds as a key. Is this the one? What do I do with it? Sorry but this is all new for me.....
