Thoughts on the new iPads?

They're out of my price range so I hadn't given them more than a passing glance. On the plus side for any ios 6 users the latest winterboard update has completely fixed the uiimages problem however the neurotech blue versions of the signal bars and such are no longer used

Just read that an hour ago they supposedly came out with a jailbreak for iOS 6. However, whether this is true or not, I'm gonna wait, for the simple fact that it wouldn't even be completely ready for me to ravage it for all of my tweaks and such.

Hey guys, as some of you know, I live right outside Atlantic City. Me and my dad are sitting around, waiting for this thing to hit us and put our power out.
We're going to take a direct hit. It's exciting and scary. We're right on the bay - Atlantic City is already underwater. Our house is about 19ft above sea level, and they're predicting a 15ft surge, so we're cutting it close!

This whole area will be out of power for a long time, I predict. So, I'll see you guys on the other side of this mess!

Wow, thrilling. I lived in cyclonic regions and it was always exciting to be in the midst of their passage. Good luck with the elements.

I'll pray for ya J. Although it probably won't be as bad, I'm expected to get hit up here in Canada. So hopefully it's better than the media portraits it.

Everything turned out OK for us here, but just down the road the entire island community of Brigantine, Long Beach Island, and Atlantic City got hit, HARD. Despite the direct hit, it wasn't that bad here - during the height of the storm I was out on the porch reading my Kindle, listening to trees crack and break all around the neighborhood. At one point I heard the whzz-POP of a transformer exploding, too - which is exactly when we lost our power.
The bar my sister works at was washed away (she's okay), and we even have some refugee guests at our house at the moment. There's no word when the islands will re-open, but I'm guessing it'll be after rescue operations cease.
Our area got the brunt of the eye (the right-most edge), but aside from a few sticks and twigs in our yard, no damage was done to our house. We were lucky! We're even surrounded by all sides by trees. If this was a Cat-2 or 3 it would be a different story!
The worst part is that we're not in any position to really help. The worst-hit places are barricaded by police.
Oh, and Happy Halloween, guys!Last edited by Jahooba; 10-31-2012 at 09:45 AM.

Yeah that Leapmotion device looks really slick. It's essentially exactly the same thing as the computing wall from Minority Report

Anything you'll be using it for specifically? I can't think of a use for it, personally. Of course, that could all change once developers work their magic with the authoring tools

Well i have a 50 inch tv for a primary monitor, as well as Windows 8 so there's that, with such fine control i can see me using it for all sorts of things. if it can be used for other games like they are using it on half life there that's gonna be awesome too. If you or anyone you know can think of a use for it, they can actually request an sdk too

Alfroggy, the link sends me to a "400 Bad Request" page?
Well, I'm split between a few different projects right now. Currently I'm now drafting out aircraft instrument faces - my dad and I are going to make replica aircraft instrument panels. We did some more planning today - it should be neat when it's done. Not sure if or how we'll sell them, but if we make them well enough they should be easy to build en-mass.
Heard anything about an iPhone 5 jailbreak?

Oh, weird.
It's a link to a theme add-on which can help make the Neurotech [HD] initial setup easier. Posted it on the Neurotech setup thread too.

What's the name of the add-on, I'll do a search for it (I'm still getting the error).
