Hey all. It's been a while; I'm not going to be doing much theming anymore, mainly writing reviews for stuff on the front page.
This is a little thing that popped up in my head, went from no concept to doodles to photoshop render in about 2 hours.
Here's a preview.
What do you guys think? Obviously, it's bare. It's completely from scratch, and I hope to incorporate a few things like an HTML clock in the dock and an HTML Date Widget at the top. If anyone wants to help out with that, I can personally reward them with cases for the iPhone 4.
Functionality comes from minimalism. You hide everything except for 8 major apps, categorized into either Recreational or Productive Groups.
Recreational: Games, Multimedia, Photos, etc
Productive: Mail, Internet, Phone, Messaging, etc
These Pro/Rec Applications will obviously rest in the white bubbles.
That's about it for now. I need input on some things.
First, do you like it?
Second, what type of icons do you want to see (simple geometric glyphs or text-based or something different)?
Third, can you/will you help with the HTML coding? Again, I have cases I can give away.

What Kind of html coding is needed... If its basic widgets I can do it... If its more complex. BYE!
May I make a recommendation on app stuff... try using the main 8 spots as Folders and the apps themselves as either glyphs or very minimal icons... Those would look best imo

the HTML seems pretty simple.
Basically, a clock widget that tells time with no background graphic, and a calendar widget that displays
DAY OF THE WEEK IN CAPS
MONTH OF THE YEAR IN CAPS
DAY OF THE MONTH
basically how it looks like in the picture. If you can do that, I'll see what I can do and hook you up with a case or something.

I'd prefer if it was possible to change it by inputting a font in a certain directory and editing the file.

I will love you in a very nonhomosexual way for an extremely long duration of my life if you can do it.

i never promised anything. if this doesn't develop enough, then it won't be released. however, if I can get an HTML clock and calendar, it will be released.

HAHA kid I won't be making Droid themes forever. I can make an android theme in 1 hour tops. It's so basic, I think even a trollolol like you could do it!
I don't have any elite status here. I simply rose to 'fame' because I was the first to realize people wanted a Droid/Android 2.0 theme. It was a matter of brains, not that I have much. Also, I have extreme theme ADHD. Green Beat seems like a totally rad idea now, but I might change my mind about it as early as tomorrow.
Also, I have like an entire partition of my hard drive for 'closet themes' like this. They're really cool ideas, but very few ideas actually make it. The few that do (like this and Aluminum Sexypants) get shut down eventually. Well I hope to develop this...maybe not.
And I'm proud to say that I have an iPhone 4 now!

I love minimalist themes! I say do glyph icons since text is easy and even a noob like me can do it.
Also, if you actually come to a release, it'd be nice to do a dark alternative or offer PSD.
And iunnoe about the other guy but this is very Droid-esque :S
