the native icons are in there -- just in individual bundles and folders files -- iPhone 4 custom themes no longer have a centralized "icons" folder

How were the original UImage names figured out?

Most of the files can either be set up as com.apple.xxx for use in the Bundles file or xxx.app in the Folders file so I left them in their original format to leave the conversion up to the themer's preference. You're on the right track Dave

^^ Awesome. Thanks man. I've finally got everything organized (I think), now working on a folder index using aliases / shortcuts to locate images. I'm preparing to (continue) work on a theme of mine and don't want to rattle my brain for 2 hours trying to locate one image. This helped out a lot. So thanks again!

all the stock iphone themes released to date have the keyboard images in the UIImages folder (titled "shared" folder in the download provided, which is really the UIImages..), but for the past couple generations of iDevices the keyboard has not been themable through normal means even though the images were in there... Tough to answer your question because the hi-res UIimages in that specific UIImages folder are not theming at all right now, and won't presumably until winterboard is updated so no telling if it'll work until then

you change the name of the shared folder to "UIImages" and place it in the main theme folder

I think you're looking for com.apple.chatkit which themes the default SMS UI images.
