Dro1d struck ModMyI in November. Since then, it has become the foundation of hundreds of Droid themes. Lets take this to the next Level. This is a whole new flavor of Android. Welcome to the dark side.
Let me introduce Dro1d [X] for the iPhone 4.
Yes, I had deleted the theme from my Hard Drive, but I remade it...with DOUBLE RESOLUTION images, just for the iPhone 4.

looks pretty cool. Is it possible to auto-create app store icons droid style?]

I'm stoked. Lets see it sooner :P
If you need any help, let us know! I'm sure plenty of people, along with myself, would be willing to help out. We need completed iPhone 4 themes!

auto creating icons...let's see what I can do there. Most likely not, unless there's like some way to make text have a background HUD automatically based on text length....
August 15= 10 months since Dro1d's release.

Yea that background would be sick dude. Prolly hard to do though

Looks awesome, can't wait till this comes out. We need good themes (and complete) for the iPhone 4

theres two possible ways we can handle the icon situation:
1. we ignore icon labels entirely.
2. i can calculate the space between the apps and the label, and make it so that the label falls on top the shaded rounded rectangles. The problem: I don't know if the image (icon) layer is above or below the text layer.

stoked that this is lifting off. More and more UI features will be released as the 15th draws closer.
Here's a confession: I HAD an iPhone 4, but I traded it in for a Samsung Captivate. What does this mean? It means I have no iPhone to test my junk on. Here's where you savvy iPhone 4 users come in!
I need 4 beta testers.
Must have an iPhone 4, Jailbroken, experience with SSH, etc.
Must have a decent amount of contribution/history/reputation on MMi. Sorry newbies, I don't trust you!
Must be USA/Canada based. I don't want to send you something, only to get it back 10 hours later when you wake up...
You get to test my stuff!
You get the theme EARLY.
Direct communication to themer. (if you think something looks nice or should be implemented, chances are I'll listen )
Here's what a typical test would look like:
I send you a theme with certain elements (icons, walls, widgets, etc). You SSH said theme into iPhone, then take a snapshot. PM or email me the snapshot ASAP.
Again, time is crucial!
To apply for a Beta testing position: simply PM me. First 4 qualifying PMs get the first batch of Droid goodies. In the PM, please state your general location (I don't need cities or addresses, but a state or canadian province).

Winterboard needs to be updated to handle high resolution icons and whatnot from the iPhone 4. Good looking theme though

To create the shadow around the icon labels (for every icon). simply add this code to your info.pref
text-shadow: rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 0 1px 1px;
padding: 0 4px;
margin: 0 0 1px 0;

Will this create an icon text shadow, or like the actual ellipse/rectangle thing behind the text? [/QU
Yes it creates the actual ellips rectangle thing behind the icon lables
