--INTRO--
RelentlessDan again

this time im giving you the COMPLETE list of SpringBoard strings to edit almost any text!

It could be used for iPad mini themes to change the search to search iPad Mini, it could be used for almost anything!

--WHAT IS IT?--
This is the english version of the springboard strings. I'd give you more, but i've deleted all my language packs other than english and japanese

--HOW DID YOU DO THAT?--
Simples, the complete list is already found on my device (3gs) under springboard.app. I've just taken the strings and put them into a nice zipped winterboard theme so its easy to edit for all.

--HOW DO I EDIT IT?--
Download the .zip file found in the attachments of the thread or at the link here:

DOWNLOAD

Now open it up, and extract all the files to your desktop (or any other location). Open SpringBoard Strings.theme > Bundles > com.apple.springboard > SpringBoard.strings (edit it with notepad or another editor. you could also do this in ifile, or dreamweaver. these will format it so that each string is on a separate line, for easier editing

)

Change anything you want. for example, to change slide to unlock, find AWAY_LOCK_LABEL and edit the value inbetween the "".

SSH into themes directory (the whole springboard strings.theme folder) and activate in winterboard.

--USING IT WITH OTHER THEMES--
This is unobtrusive and will not affect any other themes you use, infact if you make one you can even just merge your theme folder and strings folder as one.

Don't bother with credits, it's not my creation. Thank apple, oh and thank this thread too

--ATTENTION--
This has already been posted BUT this is the complete list of strings, guaranteed. this will also be updated for all new firmware updates! I am aware that this is double posted if you like, but what I have done is pack it into an easy to use package for speed etc.

%@ indicates a variable. this could be anything from the type of device or your carrier. Editing these wont case an issue, so feel free to go and do what you want with it

Not really a theme, but it does change the device's look so i guess you could call it one

Thanks but.. the code is messed up! Apple should do a "code cleaning";

So I opened the string in notepad and "cleaned" it!
Now it is easyer to edit.

its appreciated but thats cos you edited it with notepad. if you try using dreamweaver or ifile its spaced out.

* yes, there are certain threads that dont have them all. this is taken directly from my 3gs, so its the lastest stuff.

plus its more customizable because you have the entire list. mystrings doesnt cover that.

does this contain the strings for the "Airplaine Mode" under the main settings menu?

I want to modify that text, but cannot find it anywhere. I dug through the file you uploaded using Notepad and iFile and can't find it in there.

if it doesn't, do you know where to find this?
