--INTRO--
RelentlessDan again this time im giving you the COMPLETE list of SpringBoard strings to edit almost any text!

It could be used for iPad mini themes to change the search to search iPad Mini, it could be used for almost anything!

--WHAT IS IT?--
This is the english version of the springboard strings. I'd give you more, but i've deleted all my language packs other than english and japanese

--HOW DID YOU DO THAT?--
Simples, the complete list is already found on my device (3gs) under springboard.app. I've just taken the strings and put them into a nice zipped winterboard theme so its easy to edit for all.

--HOW DO I EDIT IT?--
Download the .zip file found in the attachments of the thread or at the link here:

DOWNLOAD

Now open it up, and extract all the files to your desktop (or any other location). Open SpringBoard Strings.theme > Bundles > com.apple.springboard > SpringBoard.strings (edit it with notepad or another editor. you could also do this in ifile, or dreamweaver. these will format it so that each string is on a separate line, for easier editing )

Change anything you want. for example, to change slide to unlock, find AWAY_LOCK_LABEL and edit the value inbetween the "".

SSH into themes directory (the whole springboard strings.theme folder) and activate in winterboard.

--USING IT WITH OTHER THEMES--
This is unobtrusive and will not affect any other themes you use, infact if you make one you can even just merge your theme folder and strings folder as one.

Don't bother with credits, it's not my creation. Thank apple, oh and thank this thread too

--ATTENTION--
This has already been posted BUT this is the complete list of strings, guaranteed. this will also be updated for all new firmware updates! I am aware that this is double posted if you like, but what I have done is pack it into an easy to use package for speed etc.

%@ indicates a variable. this could be anything from the type of device or your carrier. Editing these wont case an issue, so feel free to go and do what you want with it

Not really a theme, but it does change the device's look so i guess you could call it one

i know this is off the subject BUT DAN THE MAN....you wanna post up all the 4.2 stock images ive found a thing that had all of them from 4.0 but things are named differently in 4.2 it would definitely help loads of peeps if this was done. I can post what i have from 4.0 wich would show where the files would be (i know that makes me sound retarded because why cant i do that) answer is i dont know when i search for the com.apple.whatever it NEVER shows them EVER only the things in .theme folders soo i give up please help man i just got CS5 photoshop back after 2 years im dieing to make theme my phone again

Or you can ssh to System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.iproj/SpringBoard.strings and edit the main one.
