Very nice...
Yeh CategoriesSB looks nice but its not free and i didnt want to have to include anything thats not free. $1 is not much but still. Plus CatSB still has some lack of feature issues compared to Categories which make it slightly more of a hassle. And categories for me is not as good as stacks. I think stacks just needs one more release where there is beter app management and he makes it slightly easier to use and it will be as good as CatSB.
Thats said, i have heard that from more than a few people so i think i may buy it and see how it works. I may end up including both in here and let the users choose.

I would love the theme but I had to restore my phone twice. I do everything perfect, put all my apps into stacks, and then when I am in sbsettings hiding all my apps, my phone goes into safe mode. I restart and it goes right back to safe mode. I did this 15 times or so and then I decided to reset the phone. The I get the apple logo on the screen and it wont go away. This happen to anyone else? Any suggestions? This happened twice.

Sorry, nothing like that has happened to me. I have found that Cydia stops working (i.e. crashes) after stacks is installed. At least I think it's after stacks - Cydia works until I install stacks and the theme...

Those having problems with stacks , id suggest avoiding stacks , and useing catergories instead , ill post up my edit soon with catergories added and roatating wallpaper that makes the theme go from black to white (tested and works)
This version changes from the white theme i editted to the black theme version.Last edited by Fewzz; 11-06-2009 at 02:50 PM.

Given the problems with stacks, I made a special version for CategoriesSB. Yes this app costs $0.99 but its a great add-on to Categories. My biggest problem with categories is the loading time which is not slow but not instant like stacks. Its pretty easy to use. Go into Cydia, download and install Categories. Then go into Cydia and buy CategoriesSB. Its an add-on and you never see it. You still manage everything through Categories.
For this to work and look nice, i had to move the some things around. You also have to use FiveIconDock and create an extra blank icon for the dock. I have also included a special background for the categories to match the theme. Here are the simplified directions. Also added a 6 day weather forecast to the mod. For more detail on how to install, please download the modded theme from the below link (or from the Main mod theme link in Post 1, you want to download the folder called iOne Mod Using Categories Instead of Stacks) and read the Setup instructions carefully.

Thats it. I have included a screenshot of how it looks below and the link to the download.Last edited by dharris; 11-10-2009 at 11:10 PM.

Its an add on for categories and part of mobilesubstrate. You know how when you click on a category there is a loading screen for about 1/2 to 1 second then the folder? This is instant like stacks because its integrated into the springboard. Its really nice.
Downside is there is some functionality loss as far as the ability to choose your theme to apply to the folders and now it keeps your dock which is not necessarily bad but also may not be what you want. There may be a way to hack that last one but not sure. Hence why i include a background to go with the theme. I think its worth the 0.99 for the speed alone although i am a speed whore.

edit: fixed it...didnt realize there was a version 1 and version 2. just loaded version 1 and fixed it.
i changed the telephone to the phone booth but the calendar still shows up behind the phone booth on the home screen. how do i change that? i moved the phone icon to the left and the calendar icon to the right, with 2 blank icons in between.
another question regarding stacks:
why are some apps in the stacked apps double? meaning that there is one app overlapping another one completely. the only way i know is because the text is jumbled from both apps.Last edited by drumminstud06; 11-08-2009 at 09:27 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

my calendar is in the middle of the theme even though the calendar app is in the very right slot of the dock. why is this? How do I move it?
Figured the calendars out
Everything works perfect except changing the background in the categories. It just shows the regular wall paper right nowLast edited by mojays32; 11-08-2009 at 11:03 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I think you might be mixing themes which is my fault as I have posted so many in this forum. If you are using Stacks, you should be downloading the theme in the first post of this forum. That has the phone booth for the phone on the left and the calendar on the right. If you are using Categories, the you should download the theme above. In this case, because the dock icon stays within each category, i had to change placements and icons. In this case, you should use the more traditional phone icon (the black one) which should be on the right. The calendar should not be in the dock and instead placed per the graphic in my post.
The reason the stacks appear "layered" is because there is a "bug" or just a flawed design in the alpha where if you close a stack using the home button, the stack is actually not closed and must be closed before you open another stack. Example. Open Apps stack. Hit home button. Open Media stack, layered icons. Go back into app stack and close by hitting bottom left corner. Now no more layers. Its annoying!!
This is my fault. I screwed up the directions as i was trying to get this out quickly without proper testing. I have updated the directions above but basically you should not put transparent icons in the iOne themes Icon folder for the Category folders (Apps, Games, MEdia, Favs, System). Categories uses these for the backgrounds. Instead, you should replace the icon.png icon in each Category folder in "private/var/stash/Applications" with a transparent .png file (you can use the calendar one in the Icons folder as your transparent.png file.
As far as text labels, the basic Info.plist in the iOne theme folder is controlling this (since CategoriesSB is using the springboard settings). Hence if you use no labels outside of Categories you will get no labels inside it. This is part of the downside of using CategoriesSB (traditional categories lets you control this but is slower and uses more memory). This is why I still prefer stacks even though it has its own issues.Last edited by dharris; 11-08-2009 at 08:14 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

dharris,
Where are all the additional clocks and icons? I thought I saw some links for them?
