Thanks.
I remember the time when I was one of the only ones who developed a landscape theme.
It never got too popular back then, since the setup was too difficult for most users.
Now there are so many.. and Winterboard makes it all so easy.
I hope that a hide icon labels function will be added in stacks. The alpha does not include it. If not, stacks would be useless.
But as far as I've tested stacks v3 it looks pretty neat.

Wow... yeah, none of those look like they will help us.
I think we may have lost landscape statusbar capability.
Now let's look for alternative routes, can one fetch that sort of information via html/css? (wifi, network, battery life) Or will that be a stretch?
So I guess you'd be considered an attributing inspiration to my iNitsua themes.

okay you know how each icon on the status bar is displayed individually and we can still theme them in 3.0? how about we display the icon in the location we want by making the icon a certain size and at a certain position in which it will display in the fake status bar.
You know how if you make a icon for an app to big it overlaps or moves an icon adjacent over? same concept make the icon oversized in a way it will be "moved" to your custom status bar. the clock should be a simple html/css/javascript (DHTML) move to be horizontal and just use a winterboard tweak to shut off the real status bar time

just a thought: in cydia there's a "mod" backward compatibility(cydia/telesphoreo repo if i'm correct) that "Smooths iphoneOS transitions (2.x->2.y/3.x)"
maybe that will work?

^That seems to be a stretch and I do not think that will work. This Cydia package is for applications that use 2.x framework that is no longer present in 3.0. This problem we are facing is Spingboard being rewritten to include Spotlight meaning previous tricks we use do not work.

hey pear and others
i have finally figured how to get the statusbar landscape in 3.0 all you have to do is use the info.plist from the 1st beta and it works. The only thing is that if im on a call and I go back to the home screen, it does not allow be to go back to the phone. I have to hit the phone icon from the main screen

that is for apps... and cannot be used for themes.
i guess it would really take an app to rotate the statusbar...
I can live without it.. I'm already working on the statusbar..

@pear-phone
Can you send me your theme to see if the landscape bar works on my phone. Just to test if it. That is if you dont mind. Because it seems Im the only one that has the landscape bar
And, NO. Im not trying to look important, just trying to help you guys out. You guys have worked hard on these themes, and Im willing to help out if there is a problem
BTW, The theme you have made looks damn good. Give me a shot on the landscape barLast edited by boywonder77; 07-08-2009 at 02:46 PM.
