Looks like being spotlighted on Engadget was a double-edge sword: increased the theme's popularity but brought it to Palm's attention.
Just pull a "Bid for Power" - whatever they deem to be "copyright infringement" replace it with something else that was custom made.
I will DEFINITELY help make new icons and graphics.

Palm should release their damn SDK to developers instead of wasting time chasing people who pay homage to their Pre design!

error
whenever i try installing the Palm Prefection theme i always get 2 error messages...
FIRST ERROR:
Error
Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
SECOND ERROR:
/var/cache/apt/archives/com.modmyi.palmprefection_1.0_iphoneos-arm.deb
trying to overwrite`var/mobile/Library/SBSettings/respring.png', which is also in package sbsettings
What should I do to successfully install this theme?
Thank you!

Palm's just mad that they cant complete with apple, not because of "he's stealing their design" which i think its a over statement.
Its just a theme for god sakes, who cares.
And as long as they give ebl credit and not claim as their own, i dont think he'll mind.
Their just images, THATS IT, its not like he's making pre phones and giving them for free.

Why do I get an error message like someone has posted before me (the sbsettings one that it is trying to overwrite)? How do I fix this?

Ive tried installing it from cydia and got the same error, then later when i ssh'd into the phone, i realized it wasnt even in the folders.
Ur just gonna have to put them in manually

Palm prefection folder:/private/var/stash/themes/
Ringtones folder: /private/var/stash/Ringtones/
SBSettings folder: /private/var/mobile/Library/SBSettings/Themes
All the instructions are found i the theme when u download it, i think its called "read"
