PerfectStorm 2.0 (Icon Set) Thread

what dccorona asked. are you replacing the actual icon app? there should be no reason to be in "private/var/stash/applications folder."

I'm assuming you are using winterboard since you have the WAD widget. You should be placing the icons you have made into the icon folder "[root]/Library/Themes/Perfect Storm 2.0.theme/Icons".

or since you are using ssh (winscp) "<root>/var/stash/themes/PerfectStorm 2.0.theme/Icons"

i am not trying to change the icons from private/var/stash/applications.....im saying, the apps that i have installed are not showing in there so when i add the icons to the PS folder it has no affect because the XXX.app folder for each app isnt there.

ahhh...I see now. Well you could have them named wrong. (ie, if you ssh "ipod.png" in it won't work) You'll have to name it "iPod.png". The names of the apps are case sensitive. Majority of the time the apps are named how they appear on your springboard. Spaces included.

I'm assuming you've re-springed after you have ssh'd them into your icon folder too, right?

i look in finder to see how they are named and the apps i have on my springboard do not show in winscp or in the finder.app even if i name the apps correctly it still doesnt change the icon when i reboot...i think i may have to restore because i dont know why they are not showing.

ok whoever can help, i included icons that are missing (bank of america, nes, installer, reminder, vwallpaper) from my perfect storm 1 theme so if you can use them to make new ones .... here we go ... thanks to whoever can help me out!

where'd you get those glowing blue icons?
I like them

if it hasn't been done when i get on my other computer, ill see if i can make those for you

No ones volunteered yet.....so if you have the opportunity I'd appreciate it. The icons came from a post in the original PerfectStorm Tread before it was even called Perfect Storm. I'll see if I can find the link...

Regarding shading I'd like them to be as close to the original Perfect Storm 2.0 icons including font as possible..if you can dim the blue glow that would be good to, because they would stand out when compared to the original icons.

why it needs to specify the position of the icons?

In order for the icons to stretch across the screen each particular icon has to be a sprecific length and height. It all depends on it's location and whether it's a dock icon or not. Some photo shop software and expertise are also required.

Here YOu go. I did my best removing the blue glow from them... only leaving the blue glow on one of the icons for a purpose. let me know if you like them.
