Doreen,
I absolutely love your weather backgrounds that change with the weather...LOVE it! However I am a big fan of the win7 theme that has the fixed vista sidebar and what not....is there a way to combine the two to make one perfect theme (in my opinion
)
So this is what my desktop currently looks like....It would be awesome to have the weather in the background instead of a looping bunch of vista pictures....

Yes it can be done (and has been) but I've not been in the skinning mood lately so maybe when I get motivated again. hehe
(Sometimes just working and kids take alot of my energy and at the end of the day I just get too lazy) I'm using a set up like you described but packing this stuff up for everyone else to use and then trying to explain how to set it up is just more work, so for now all I can say is you have "all the elements" needed already between my theme and ebl's theme to put everything together yourself to obtain what you're looking for (all you need is patience and time to build it)Last edited by Doreen; 03-12-2009 at 09:59 AM.

I want to start by saying thank you to everyone that was involved in this theme

I really enjoy it, but am having several issues.
1. My bottom bar only functions as an opener for my text messaging. The Internet, iTunes, and Mail buttons are not functioning.
2. The Email icon does not work. Is it because it is coupled with the notes icon(which works great)?
I see two different bottom bars posted on the first page of this thread and mine is the one in the 4th picture from the top.
Thank you for a great theme!

CaptainChaos,
The easiest way to do this is deselect the theme and put your regular icons in the exact order that is shown with the dock you want. Once you have done that, reselect the theme and your icons will stay in that same order. Depending on versions you may want to initially stay with the setups as shown. Some icons do not go together well if the order is mixed from what is shown in the threads.
The Mail icon that is attacthed to notes is a "dummy" icon that will float over your docked mail icon. You will want to keep your docked mail icon to the right of the screen to enjoy the effect.
A lot of good information is in this thread including additional docks, backgrounds, widgets and sidebar icons. You will get the most enjoyment if you can spend some time reading through it.
Something that helped me along the way was to look at the folders and files in each theme before I selected it in winterboard. Once you see the files it might make more sense.
Let me/all here know your progress. Everyone benefits.
Enjoy

Thank you for your reply! I went ahead and installed 5 Icon Dock so that I could use the Windows Start Icon as my phone icon. Everything lines up nice except that the Safari Icon is not invisible down on the dock. I guess I will make a transparent icon and drop it in the Icons folder.
The weather displayed on the weather widget shows a different temperature than the weather displayed on the wallpaper so I assume it is getting it from a different source?

Check your configureMe.js files in each theme folder and make sure the locales are the same. That should do it.

Hello, I need some help with this theme...
I have an iPod Touch so the dock looks a little bit awquard, so I had to change it... Nevertheless, I couldn't manage with the weather icon... it just didn't show up, although in WB I have this order:

And this is what it looks like (the temperature on the top has shown when I went to Settings-->Weather Icon but I don't know if it's properly configured...

When I try to reach 'configureme' in WinSCP, I can't find the proper folder it seems. (I've downloaded the theme from Cydia, since the link here didn't work for me...) The only relevant folder I find is named "VistaSidebar Weather Icon", and when I open it, there is no file titled 'configureme.js', only a sub-folder named "Bundles", in which I can't find anything apart from different pictures.
And also, how did you put the 'notes' icon? It didn't show up for me either...
Can anyone help?
