iPod Touch Theme for iPhone

UPDATE: I just noticed there is another dock down the page. They're quite similar aside from the icons. Nice work, flakmunkey!

After watching the keynote yesterday, I decided I liked the new iPod Touch "dock" (with the pretty reflections) enough to recreate it and put it on my phone. It looks like this:



Files in zip:
icon.png - Apple's new Music icon. Replace /Applications/MobileMusicPlayer.app/icon.png
SBDockBG2.png - The new dock. Replace /System/Library/CoreServices/ SpringBoard.app/SBDockBG2.png
SBDockBG2.psd - The Photoshop file with layers. Change it if you don't like the new icons!

That's it! If you don't know how to copy files to your phone, I recommend looking up iFuntastic. It makes things easy.

my dock isn't transparent . . . instead I have part of the wallpaper added to the .psd file that came with the download. I don't know how to create the transparency of the dock to automatically show the background behind it. I've tried saving it different ways (where it was partly transparent etc.) but I have no luck with it. For now this is what I'll use until it's clear of how to create transparent docks

If anyone installed the iPod2 or iPod3 tweak from apptapp, MobileMusicPlayer.app no longer refers to icon.png. It refers to icon-MediaPlayer.png

I installed iPod2 and then uninstalled it when the customize app was updated to run rSBT. So if anyone is having trouble replacing their MobileMusicPlayer.app icon because they installed the iPod2 or iPod3 tweaks, follow these steps:

ssh into the iphone and go to /Applications/MobileMusicPlayer
rename icon-MediaPlayer.png to icon-MediaPlayer.png.old
copy the new icon.png from your computer to /Applications/MobileMusicPlayer
rename icon.png to icon-MediaPlayer.png
restart the iphone

Not sure if anyone has had this problem or not, but it was really frustrating.

btw i dident install thouse programs (the iPod2 or iPod3 tweak) but i had to do it enny way.. weird, but now its working looks mutch more nicer now, thnx for the Dock!

I removed the "note" from the iPod icon posted by carbon110, so it can be made into any icon. It isn't perfect (I'm not so great with Photoshop's cloning tool), but... I'm planning to put image of an iPod on it like the original iPhone icon has.

Edit: Added iPod iCon.
Edit2: Sorry for continuously editing this post, but the icon had some weird black shadow which is now corrected.
