if you make adjustments according to the README files...make small adjustments first to make sure it moves in the direction you think it is supposed to go. Sometimes you will find that increasing a value actually moves it in the opposite direction. Maybe this could be a possible problem with current or 6 day weather not showing up for some people.
...just a thought
Are you running the latest version of Winterboard? Also it wouldn't hurt to do a hard reboot if you haven't tried that already.
Talk to me people.... I feel very responsible for this and I want to make sure that your expectations are met. I have reinstalled everything from the zip file I uploaded and it all works perfectly on my phone. I really want this to work for you guys as wellLast edited by Bear Hunter; 11-02-2008 at 08:58 PM. Marcf,
That's where you need to use the Master PSD in photoshop and save the image as "Wallpaper.png"
That is the file to the left in this image:

Everything in the Master PSD can be selected or deselected...meaning you can determine what you want to show. You will notice that 24trepid opted not to use the Dashboard Mask or any of the other widgets. Just deselect what you don't want and save as "Wallpaper.png"Last edited by Bear Hunter; 11-02-2008 at 09:15 PM.

Post a picture so I know exactly what you are talking about. That way I can see if I can modify something and post it for you here.
To make an app icon transparent you need something like photoshop to reduce the transparency to "0" then you save it in your "Theme/icon" folder.

Everything working fine for me here is my setup below.

Question though Bear Hunter Can you post the .psd file for the skin that is behind the weather app only and also the one that surrounds all the widgets in this picture below, I didn't see this option in the release master. If you could thanks so much Great theme!!!

I made those by taking screenshots of my actual Dashoard widgets and they are selectable within the Master PSD file and have to become part of your wallpaper. You would then make your actual yellowPages or WhitePages application icons transparent and position it underneath the widget on your wallpaper.

Roger it looks great...glad to see it working for you:
To get the beveled look to the Dashboard mask just un-select the "Glass Dashboard" layer in Photoshop and select the "Regular Dashboard Layer". Double click the "Regular Dashboard Layer" and adjust the "Bevel and Emboss" properties (just play around with it).
To get the same look for the weather widget. De-select the "Weather Original Glass" and select the "Weather Original Glass White". Go to up top to "image/adjust/levels" and make it black....then double click it and adjust the "Bevel and Emboss" to get the rounded look in that screen shot.Last edited by Bear Hunter; 11-02-2008 at 10:14 PM. Glad to see more people getting it to work. Looks great
Just some other tips:
Make your actual weather app icon transparent and position it under the weather widget. That way you can just tap the weather widget to access weather that you may have set for other regions in your weather application.
Also...play around in photoshop with different filters, and settings...such as lighting effects on widgets, wallpapers, and such (always keep a backup of the Master PSD file). You'd be surprised on what you can accomplish. I only have very basic skills, but if you play around with it enough you can do some pretty cool things.
Here is my current blackout look:

Hey bro...try re-downloading using one of the mirror sites in the first post. It's entirely possible that it may have gotten corrupted.Last edited by Bear Hunter; 11-02-2008 at 10:58 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Mine isn't running any slower than any other theme when applied. I mean it may take a second or two for categories to open up every now and then if that's what you mean.
See the README file in the Black Dock Icons Folder. There is a link there to download Black System files. If the icons come in ".icns" format, just use "Preview" to open it up then save it as a ".png" file....thats it.
Edit...I just realized you were not talking about my screenshot...sorryLast edited by Bear Hunter; 11-02-2008 at 11:17 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

My recommendation since so many people are having a hard time with the manual process is to download "Leopard UI" through Cydia....then apply my modifications in accordance with the README files in each folder.
I wanted to release a plug and play theme, but I don't own the Leopard theme and I have tried contacting the creators for permission and received no response.
What wont open? If you opened the ".icns" file with your "Preview Application" (Mac) it will allow you to "save as" .png.
What I think you did was just changed the exstension... re-naming it wont work. Preview is a Native Mac application that opens up various images and ".icns" files happens to be one that it opens. The Preview app is what saves it as a .png file.Last edited by Bear Hunter; 11-02-2008 at 11:55 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
