[RELEASE] Weather Widget
Since many have been asking... I have made a few tweaks and now everyone can add a the weather to ANY theme they have. I take almost no credit for this widget -- as code was written by others -- but I managed to make it a stand alone widget so that it works with WinterBoard. I have enclosed three files (Myopia, Split and OneLine). I have tweaked all three to save you some work. YOU will need to edit the configureMe.js file in the Private folder so you can add your correct location, F/C, Wallpaper/Lockscreen as well as which style and icons... also you can tweak the StyleSheets if you want to move the location of the images.
Instructions:
1. Place this theme as a stand alone in WinterBoard (for beter compatibility make sure it is positioned BELOW the theme you want to use it with.
2. Check it off in WinterBoard (along with other themes you want to use)
3. Voila!

Edit:
I have now also included the 6 day forecast weather icon (thanks to Houdini7 for his work on this)

I have it pictured with android. To change the location of the image you need to change the margins in the .js file not the style sheets. I will post better instructions when I can get in front of a computer.

Thanks my stuff stopped working when I just upgraded Winterboard. I took your file and dragged my custom split stylesheet and configureme files. It works like a charm and my lock screen is functioning

edit the StyleSheets/oneLine.css file changing the margin-top:350px (greater # to move down, smaller # to move up)
Edit the Stylesheets/oneLine.css file doing the following:
1. change color from "color:white" to "color:black" (the white probable wont show up well without a shaded bar)
2. delete the background-color line completelyLast edited by dannyben; 10-11-2008 at 07:09 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Thanks for this!
Few things, do you know how to get the weather widget on the status bar in the middle? I've seen it before but never really explained.
Also, I'm trying to add my location to the configureMe.js but I'm getting a "loading..." message. I know I'm doing something wrong.
I have this:
Thanks again.Code:// The other available source is 'yahooWeather' which for the 'locale' // requires a US zip or location code (e.g. UKXX0085 or CHXX0008) from http://weather.yahoo.com var source = 'USTX0617' //'USTX0617'|'yahooWeather'
"Thanks" button. Learn it. Use it. Love it.

installed in library/themes .....input my yahoo local "zip" and nothing...using android as well and nothing but a black screen and a loading icon?

Sometimes you get the loading if the server is busy / no internet connection. Unfortunately there is no way to manually update, but you can respring or reload in winterboard.
youre getting the black screen and not android because the widget is positioned above that theme. Make sure your primary theme (in your case android) is positioned above this widget.

How do I place the Icon to the right and remove the Description from the one line? Pretty much switch the icon and description.
