because the lightsaber icon that comes with the app is already made in Aqwoah style. There is only so much you can do with light sabers in terms of icons. That said, I think my icon, although similar (see my thoughts on that below), is slightly better in that it doesn't require the black blob in the background to be useful for both dark and light backgrounds. I should note that IMHO lots of icons on this site are just not very well made to take that into account. People can have all sorts of wallpapers and that poses problems in icon design.

I actually try to keep my icons as close as possible to the original icon (if the original icon is halfway decent), so there isn't too much confusion when switching from the stock icon to the Aqwoah one. I also try to make the icon as distinctive and intuitive as possible. Many of the themes I see are just plain confusing to me and I would never be able to find the app I'm looking for...

This is not the right place for this question. It really depends on what OS you use. On the Mac side, you can use iFuntastic to copy icons into the apps. On the iPhone side, you can use Installer to install Aqwoah. I'm not familiar with the Windows solutions, but there are quite a few.

Okay fellow Mac user. Go here: http://iphone.nullriver.com/beta/ and follow the instructions to get Installer onto your iPhone. Once you have Installer on your phone, you can download pretty much anything, including Aqwoah icons.
