Hey Golum...
I'm sorry I didn't comment on your great work until now, I was out for the whole weekend, but man that looks AMAZING!!! I'm gonna try it out now.
and of course, MANY THANKS FOR ALL THE WORK YOU DO!!!!

on a different note, did any one see the new theme called "buff"? I saw it on Cydia, and in the more info section I could see the weather icon of Buuf. I haven't downloaded it, since it's obviously a ripoff (even the name is wrong). I'm also quite sure Mattahan did NOT approve it.

and another thing, I think I found the best font to go with Buuf2: Matthia. You can switch to it using font Swap. Looks great, and above all, the carrier name (for the people that changed it) looks much much cooler (like for you Golum)

They're very nice! Great job!

But there are two problems:
1) The icons for VLC Remote, Palringo and Measures are shown with a black background... How can I solve this? See Screenshot:

1. How did you save the icons when you got them from here? Was that the first time you added icons from here? I'm sorry for all the q's, I just can't make that happen to me.

2. Added a new icon for Texxas.

3. Added 3 choices for Speed Test. make sure the one you like has no numbers in the name, just Speed Test.

4. Go to the buuf2.Theme on your iPhone using ssh, and just delete that image where ever it is in the bundles. I erased it already so I don't know where it is exactly. but it's juat a loading screen. even if you'll delete it, the calc will take the same amount of time to load. you'll just see a diff image.

5. I saw you asked how to change the text of the unlock-slider:
go to buuf2.theme on your iphone using ssh, then bundles then com.apple.springboard. there go in de.lproj and en.lproj and double click the SpringBoard.strings file to edit it. when it opens in notepad, just change Buuf2 to whatever you like.

I'm pretty sure that a few pages ago someone (probably golum) released a Flashlight icon that looks like a flashlight.

as for the answer/decline buttons... I thought about the same thing... might look very cool. when I tried, it looked really bad. granted I only tried once for like 20 minutes. I'll might try again next week if no one beat me to it.

I think the main things we need now for this theme are Safari (the Buufari just doesn't cut it), the menus (especially in settings) and last but not least the music player (which is weird no one did it already).

hope we'll get it done sometime in the near future.

p.s. As for the 5 icons in every line... it kinda looks too busy, like windows mobile. I'm sure it's great if you tons of stuff installed on the iphone, and you need more than the 9 screens.

Right, in a bid to try and help out some of the folks who don't know how to set their own icons - and to try and collate some of the knowledge that's currently spread throughout the thread - I've written a bit of a guide on customising Buuf2.

Check it out here and let me know what you think - I'll keep an eye on this thread, and if I see any new useful info crop up, I'll add it. Also, please let me know if I've missed anything important out!
