How come some of the icons appear with a black background, when the orignal icon you made doesnt have them=?

It's possibly something to do with the program uncle_don is using to edit the icons; he could try using GIMP or Photoshop, they are good at handling the transparent backgrounds without introducing the blocky black bits.

Unzip this and ssh it into your bundles folder and you should be good to go!

Um..I put it in my bundles folder and the length bar and 3 icon still not showing.

and somehow the font style didn't change on the top too while i;m in that page, i have akbar font.

I'm running iPhone 3G 3.1

I download the weathericon from cydia, and ssh your bundle into the theme folder, and activated thr winterboard = didn't work. It shows the normal weather icon + the degree. Not your icons.... <-- PROBLEM SOLVED!!
[I have two folders theme, so I took out the inside folder, and it works

hey. Just installed the Font ucle "something" posted on site 156 i think. with great results. Except one thing... Is there anyway that you can get the same font on the keyboards for sms and so on???

Is there fix for the calc to? just noticed that the cal aint same as theme

I use Photoshop to create icons. I also try to use original artwork by Manhattan, the creator of the Buuf theme. Some of his artwork has the black shadowing. I'll try to remove it from now on if people don't like it.

No, there is no way to change the keyboard, dialer or calculator. The keyboard is done through vector images and people are still trying to figure out how to mod it. The calculator and dialer are png files. Somebody would have to go through and create new ones using the Akbar font. Not an easy task.

Do you have a custom bundle file for the contact page and the status bar?
(like that wooden panel on the top and colorful bars for WiFi and all)

Hi all,

Great site. My iphone looks awesome now. thanks to everyone who posted stuff. One thing though...I am a noob and got a little carried away. I tried to mod my keyboard with a Buuf Keyboard I found, but I screwed up in my "Buuf Euphoria" and did not see the notes about not being able to mod the keyboard after 3.0. On top of that I didn't back up stock keyboard files (Keyboard.Common and Latin.artwork files). Now I have shift key that looks like its inverted and my magnifying glass is a square with gibberish. I tried using some of stock keyboards from downloads, but they were equally screwy. Does anyone know where I can get 3.0+ stock keyboard? I'm actually on a 3G 3.1.2 Thanks for any help!

Gentlemen, I apologize in advance, but I'm about to nit-pick...

I'm looking for icons for ESPN Radio and Scramble 2.

Both have had icons offered in the past, but they don't quite fit my needs.

Here's the original ESPN Radio icon:

The icon offered isn't bad, but it appears a little bit pixelated when actually applied to the springboard, and the whole "ESPN Scoreboard 79" icon doesn't really apply to ESPN Radio... it really only applies to ESPN ScoreCenter (hence the scoreboard and the score).

These offered icons aren't bad either, except I already use an icon similar to the first one for a ScraBble app (not to be confused with ScraMble), and the second one doesn't really apply to the Scramble 2 app at all.

Also, I already use a number of sequel icons:



So... I was hoping Golum could put together a more appropriate icon for ESPN Radio, as well as an icon for Scramble 2 that uses the same "2" as all of the other sequel icons I already utilize.

I know I'm being picky, but I'd really appreciate your efforts.

This is an awesome and fantastic collection going on here. I just want to thank the creator of the Buuf 2 theme and people who have created icons after repeated requests.

I have a question for you guys. I have some applications that I've put into folders into categories folders. Among them, I've already used bundles to change the core apps, but there are some I just can't change for some reason - Lockdown, Photos, and Poof. I've already changed Terminal, Cydia and Winterboard successfully. The bundles names I used for Lockdown, Photos, and Poof were - com.iptm.lockdown2/com.iptm.lockdown6.2; com.apple.mobileslideshow/various other names; com.bigboss.poof.

I tried using the app id from the Info.plist file, as well as from Cydia, and they never worked. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Also, can someone make a Canabalt icon? It doesn't even have to be very "Buuf", it can be just a man in 16-bit without the background. If someone can tell me how to edit it, I could do it myself, I just don't know which channels I'm supposed to edit and which I'm supposed to leave alone. Thanks!

Edit: Okay, just clear the background on my own. How do I make the other parts transparent? Thanks!

Edit2: Oh sweet, got it. Just had to set the background to transparent. Added border lines to it. Attached the shabby icon if anyone want to Buuf-ify it or something =/

i wonder if anyone knows where is the png file for the sms helper red button which appears after the message exceeds 160 characters?

never mind, i've found it, inside \Library\SMSHelper\. two files - SendButtonRed.png and SendButtonRedPressed.png. just replace these two files with the attached buufed ones. also attached a screenshot of the buufed red button.

Something weird is definitely happening to your icons, uncle_don - some of them are perfect (like Battle Bears, awesome), and some are coming out pixellated?


See the icon you provided for Physics, above - it's exactly the same as iSplit, and yet it's gone blocky round the edges...


I hope you can figure out what's causing it - we need all the help we can get sourcing high-quality icons for Buuf2, and your efforts are appreciated

This directly out of the Buuf retail pack my Manhattan, the artist of the original buuf icons. It's something he did. I'll have to see what I can do about smoothing edges.
