Use BossPaper for that, get wallpapers from the flickr gallery in my sig.

First off, i wanted to thank all of you who've spent any amount of time putting together something for this theme, whether it was the original or even if you just did one icon for someone here. I've been using this theme for months and regardless of me going to another theme posted out here on these boards, i always end up back with this one. It's such a wonderful theme and i'm always amazed at the support and good nature of all of those involved.

I had a question about the look of the theme itself. For those that are making icons, where does the look of this theme come from (the cartoony style) in the icons and other .pngs used? Are you guys just sketching these icons out freehand in photoshop for each of them?

You'll forgive me, but i'm not versed in photoshop and how it works, but i just wonder where the inspiration and what the process is of going from a default icon to a buuf icon lies.

again, thanks so much for the support and hard work. i know we interweb people aren't always the easiest to get along with.

totally agree.

the only artist/creator of the icons is mattahan. the rest of us are basically editing.

for the sake of those who asked whether there's a buuf template, as said many many times before, there's no special template/secret/technique on how to make these icons. for me, i will always try to make use of mattahan's icons so as to stay true to the "buuf" essence/spirit. if i can't find anything suitable from the existing mattahan's icons, i make my own either from scratch or by editing existing icons i can find over the net. when editing an icon i find over the net, i put the icon side by side with an existing mattahan's icon, and take careful note on how the colors/shadings of the mattahan's icon are done. i do icons based solely on my own judgment.

good icons take a long time to make (i had once spent more than 3 hours on one icon). we all try our best to help out with the icons. we take time out from our busy schedule to help voluntarily. we can't satisfy everyone, it is impossible to satisfy everyone. if our icons are not able to meet your requirements/satisfaction, tell us nicely/politely and we'll always try to make a new one to make you happy. ultimately, our main aim is to keep this theme alive and running.

dracwy & golum work their socks off & do tremendous work ostensibly & selflessly to benefit us Buuf aesthetic fanatics.

I really think that these guys more than deserve the appropriate respect & it would be nice if those who request designs & redesigns offer to pay for the very time-consuming work involved.

Could I please humbly request an official Fring icon that emulates the attached with the Buuf touch, ie. not resembling the existing Fring Buuf icon that has no resemblance at all to the original?

I'm sure that dozens would both appreciate & use a new icon. There is no need for the Fring text wordmark, just the logo itself.

SSH into your theme folder, make sure u have the right picture set as the file name Wallpaper.png. note that the file name is case sensitive. also make sure that your theme is the first theme in winterboard, if not, other wallpapers may take priority.

Seems all that was well, however it turned out that skrewcommon was the culprit. Uninstalled that and everything is good again! Thanks for your reply dracwy.
