How do you guys make the icons look "buuf-ish''?

I really would like to do it for myself... Is there a template or anything like that, or could you guys point me in the right direction as to how I could make them....

This is how I make buff icons. I'm not sure how anyone else does it as they don't share the method of their madness.

hi all, as i said before, i dont have any templates when i try to buuferize the icons. i use existing buuf icons or sometimes even draw them myself. it's just based on my own judgement, so i must admit that there are times when the icons i make are not very buufed...

i've been very busy at work nowadays, so i'll only be helping out with the icons once in a while. it will really help me if any request is accompanied by the original icon or some graphic which you would want your icon to look like. sometimes it's really discouraging after i have spent time doing up an icon and the person requesting it does not like it. i thank you in advance for your cooperation.

anyway, it's very nice to see many of us are starting to contribute to the pool of buuf icons. keep up the good work.

@nicolerork : I've made a Tweetie icon, maybe I'm not as good as others making buuferized icons but i'm making a good effort, hope you like it.

I also made a beejive icon because the ones posted here didn't convince me at all.
