E-Mail Ad Campaign Launched By Apple Focuses on the iPad
A new e-mail campaign was recently released by Apple, and it focuses on the iPad’s productivity capabilities. It highlights many different apps including Numbers, Keynote, Pages and Microsoft’s Office for the iPad. The Cupertino-based company’s campaign is an effort to compete against Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 campaign. Apple’s ad takes a different approach and states that the tablet is a portable device with powerful apps, and not a replacement for its laptop lineup.
What’s highlighted in the campaign is the fact that the iPad comes with iWork suite and features apps like Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. Users can also use these apps across different platforms via the iCloud connection. Projects that started out on the iPad can be completed on a Mac with this cross-platform service.
The campaign also talked about Microsoft Office and how users subscribed to the Office 365 service can receive the three freemium apps, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Microsoft saw huge success with Apple’s iPad Office Suite, netting 35 million downloads in July. This means that lots of users do productivity-oriented tasks with their iPads.
Other productivity app promotions released by Apple last week include Notability, Scanner Pro, Fantastical Clear, and others. Discounts were offered by the company and the sale is supposed to last about two weeks ending on August 14th.
