Apple Working Overtime to Boost New iPad mini Supplies
It will come as no surprise that within hours of Apple launching its iPad mini with Retina display we're already hearing reports of supplies running dry.
Although online orders are still showing shipping estimates of just 1 to 3 days for the second-generation iPad mini, this could change at any time if consumer demand is as strong as many analysts expect.
As a result, Apple is reportedly pulling out all the stops to keep the supply chain cranking out these devices as quickly as possible. Even Phil Schiller was quoted in this morning's press release saying that Apple is "working hard to get as many as we can in the hands of our customers."
"The response to iPad Air has been incredible, and we're excited for customers to experience the new iPad mini with Retina display," Schiller added.
With the holiday shopping season now upon us, Apple will certainly be put to the test if the demand is as strong as many industry experts and analysts anticipate.
