AT&T U-verse Adds Live Streaming TV to the iPad and iPhone for its Subscribers
AT&T updated its U-verse applications for the iPad and iPhone recently and enabled live television streaming to iOS devices, both inside and outside the userís home. Subscribers to AT&Tís U-verse internet television service will have the ability to watch more than 100 live channels on their iOS devices inside their or home or more than 20 channels outside their home according to the companyís recent announcement. AT&T says the service expansion is designed to enable ďcustomers to watch TV on their terms when and where they want it.Ē
At launch, CBSís ShowTime, TMC and Flix movie will be among the options available on the go alongside sports broadcasting channels such as the NFL Network and the Pac-12 Network, which is home to college athletics schools such as the University of Oregon and Stanford University. Popular options such as CNBC, HBO, Comedy Central and Food Network are only available when customers are at home. The company does promise more live channels to be added ďon an ongoing basis.Ē
For those of you who didnít know, U-Verse is a bundled offering of broadcast internet, voice-over-IP telephone service, and IP television. As of right now it is the fastest-growing television provider in the United States but it faces competition from companies such as Verizon Fios and even nontraditional providers such as Aereo.

These streaming movie and music services are starting to become the "reality tv" of tv haha. A dime a dozen. Guess choices ARE the spice of life.

ESPN???? If ESPN etc would go a la carte and sell a subscription app for $5-10 a month it would let us ditch the likes of U-verse and get what we really want. Plus it lets the channel control all the ads.

The ads are freakin annoying... was watching a College Football game, the same ad runs over and over and over and over again the entire game...
Forgot the mention, uverse app allowed me to watch the NFL package for free...
