iPad 5 Smart Covers Supposedly Leaked in New Video
A recent video released by Unbox Therapy claims to show a number of Smart Covers which are supposedly designed for Apple’s slimmer fifth-generation iPad. The magnetic covers seem to fit perfectly on leaked components that match the dimensions expected for the next iPad, though an unusual design choice places doubt on the products’ authenticity.
Instead of carrying the new, fabric-covered hinge design from the iPad mini, the cover shown in the video retain the “classic” hinge that were used in Smart Covers’ which debuted with the iPad 2. For those of you who remember, the older hinge was known to scratch the aluminum where it rests, an issue which would be unacceptable with the new anodizing process rumored to be used for the iPad 5.
Those of you who are interested in watching the video can do so below:
As some of you may have already noticed, the video also showcases the Smart Cover being shown in several colors including: gray, black, red, pink, orange, blue, white and green. The Cupertino California company is expected to launch its redesigned iPad and a Retina iPad mini in the near future, perhaps at a media event as soon as next month.

Ok, so they went egg shell? The orange and green look toned down from the original colors. Wonder if they will make the 12" iPad or not..
