Default Supposed Design Schematics Reveal Information about Apple's Next-Gen iPad

A recently released set of design schematics claimed to be for Apple’s upcoming fifth-generation iPad reveal a design similar to that of Apple’s current iPad mini. The documents, which were originally released by Nowhereelse.fr, show an iPad that has the characteristics of both the current fourth-generation model and the iPad mini. The design seems to have a reduced width and what appears to be a thinner bezel than the current 9.7-inch model.

The upcoming design seems to be heavily influenced by the current iPad mini design, complete with rounded off back corners and a new location for the speaker, which faces downward rather than backward. The schematics seem to match up with several rumored details, third-party cases and leaked parts, all of which have claimed to offer a quick glimpse of what Apple’s next iPad may look like.

Based on the current rumors, the Cupertino California company’s next iPad will be roughly 15% thinner and 33% lighter than the current fourth-generation model and is expected to go on sale later this year. One thing to note though is that several case makers who have obtained what are supposed device schematics have often been incorrect when it comes to providing accurate data. We can’t be sure how accurate the design schematics are until more concrete information is revealed so we’ll just have to be patient.

Tell us more about how much the physical design of Samsung or other tablets have changed so much recently.

Despite your stupid sarcasm, 33% lighter for a tablet is a big deal.

Wow, such lame comments at the top...We don't even know if these schematics are real! I guess some people want their tablets thicker and heavier...

I'm sure the new iPad will be great, thinner and lighter is always a plus!

So you're comparing Apple to Samsung? Because last time I checked Apple Fanboys are always saying that there is NO COMPARISON between Apple and Samsung.

Since the iPad is considerably heavier than almost all other tablets it's about time they made it lighter. The iPad 3 and 4 weighed a lot more than the 2, they just choose not to bring up the weight and size as it would make them look unfavourable.
