You are quick to make ASSumptions. I have android, which I gave to my fam when the ipad mini came out. It was okay but I prefer apple ecosystem. I have not seen any of the android airplay-like features where you can send your music or screen to your tv-like Apple TV. I know they are out there, but I like how the apple products seem to work together pretty easily. Playing movies or music from the MacBook, using the ipad to control, and viewing it on the TV with and extra speaker output at the airport express, all without any real networking knowledge, is pretty darn neat. There may be google and android features similar, but no, I haven't personally seen or heard of them. But with all my aforementioned products coming from the same creator, they've done a fantastic job with product integration. Stop fighting and enjoy the company you prefer.

Im running UCCW to set up the hotspots like the weather, clock and my apps on the sides. Power Toggles for the music controls in the bottom left and also for the volume, flashlight and wifi toggles on the top right. And last is the simple background. I can post the links if you want
    from my rooted Droid DNA
