Yep I'm talking out of my ***. And your right Macs do get viruses. I've had my mac for 6 years still no viruses. And M$ can keep their 90% market share along with the 90% virus attacks.

Seriously, it's people like you that make me think most MAC users are ignorant hipsters. -_-
Yep I'm also an ignorant hipster you got me pegged. I know your next guess is a construction worker so good for you. Sorry for liking a computer that just works. And I didn't mean to hurt anyones feelings.

    lmao wheres the like button.

Lol I personally feel even though many people are trying to shoot this tablet down and many like it, I think it is good for apple. Competition is good source of motivation for anyone. The better this tablet is, the better Apple products or any other products the come after it will be because really they have no choice. I for one am also an all out apple fan for many years now. But I still think the success of this tablet is a good thing for Apple. Never a good thing to get complacent on top.

So Mac owns as much market share in the computer world as BMW does in the auto world? How is that a bad thing? Lol

    That keyboard / cover is B@D @SS!!
I'm a hard core APPLE Fan, but I have to give them credit for that great idea...
I love the option of using a real keyboard but I hate the fact that all of he add-ons make my iPad larger, this keyboard / cover is great!

I agree with you there. But they are probably talking about the RT version which does not have the i5 or full OS.
As much as I would want the Pro version to be that inexpensive.(i'm going to be watching the updates on this like a hawk and will likely be a day 1 buyer). Personally i think the idea of a 3rd gen i5 proc in a tablet, with full OS and a slew of ports sounds freaking amazing. A perfect replacement for my 14" laptop that I bring around to all of my clients as a consultant.

FACEBOOK MACHINE? wow, you do realize macs can do A LOT more than simple stuff like Facebook. my first example: Steam. i have quite a lot of games, and even the most demanding games run fine on median settings with me. i do also have a pc that i built, and i do prefer gaming on that over my macbook, but hell, a macbook is just more than a Facebook machine, or any mac in general.

I agree. Macs are awesome machines, I love mine. I'm not a computer gamer although I do play WoW on both Mac and PC. I'm a console gamer. Xbox FTW! But I think Windows 8 will be amazing as its full touch screen optimized.

Oh boy...out come the fan boys. God forbid other companies attempt to be innovative and make things Apple doesn't have...

PC stands for personal computer...in what way is a Mac not a personal computer?

As others have said, Macs can get viruses as well, but most coders writing viruses want to target the largest amount of users at once which would be Windows users. So just because viruses are much more widespread on Windows doesn't meant that it isn't possible on Macs.

Some people just love to live under a rock. I've been using Windows since 95 days without any antivirus and still have to see what a virus looks like.

Not every person who owns a PC gets viruses ya know? I Download plenty of programs and (other stuff), I do all kinds of stuff on my PC, play WoW. I have not had a virus and trust me I would know. I just know how to use the Internet properly.

Sure there is. Here are two potential scenarios for you:

    1. Microsoft buys their customers. They take huge losses to flood the market with their awesome new tablet and get people talking about it (they did this with their Windows Phone to a less extent perhaps than what I am proposing).

    2. They subsidize the hell out of the OS with a bunch of non-removable bloat. PC manufacturers already do this. You get Windows 7 and you have a bazillion trial (and some non trial) applications preloaded. Most of that junk never gets used (at least by anyone I know).

    3. A combination of points 1 and 2.

FWIW there are supposed to be two version of the tablet. One runs full blown Windows 8 on a an i5, the other basically has a mobile cpu the likes of what we see in smartphones.

Any chance this cover/keyboard will work with an iPad?
    Or a similar alternative?

Yeah, because Apple's ideas are all super original and unique. /sarcasm

Lol dude that's a losing argument. For some reason people think that their favorite brand is the best and always has been the best and always will be the best. Forgoing all actual reality. People seem to forget that apple was about bankrupt but Microsoft bailed em out. Lol funny how things work out isn't it? I mean wouldnt it have been easier to let them die out then these people wouldnt even have the iPhone hahaha

This article is based on nothing. There's no way microsoft is going to sell a tablet like this for $200 when an iPad is selling for $500. Undercutting the competition is one thing, but $200 is ridiculous.
