And Apple will gladly take your money even if it is from body parts.
Thats why Apple suck and PC would've been a lot better. He could've brought one with some blood and sperm.

It is a shame that this was done of course and I'm sure the poster realises that. Be melodramatic over the actual incident, sure - understandable, but over this ??

For starters, if it was a joke...it was a really bad one that didn't even give me a grin....
Second: apple doesn't know where people get money from.when u buy an apple product , they don't ask "hey where did you get this money and would you like an iPad case with that?"
The kid basically had some mental issues due to being his nature/nurture environment....that and the fact that the surgeons banked in this deal...they made more money selling the organ which is sad because they didn't care about the kids health or how small the cut he was getting...(if I read correctly)

This story is getting twisted around. Some of your comments make it spun like you believe he gave someone his kidney and in return they gave him some apple products. No. He sold his kidney. For money. He spent some of that money on apple products. That's it
Also, he was seventeen. That's pretty close to being a legal adult. I'm sure if he committed a crime he would be charged is an adult. So he sold his kidney, shouldn't he have that right?
Stupid, yeah sure. A huge risk and potentially bad for his health, I'm sure, but so is chain smoking and drinking heavily. But it's about choice. How much do we and want our governments to protect us from ourselves?
Now, if he was mentally handicapped ( which you'd almost have to be to do this) it's a little different. I haven't seen any articles that address this so I don't know.

i think the cause of selling his kidney was about to play the app called "amateur surgeon 2"
seriously, i hope that apple will help that kid..
