Netflix iPad App Interface Redesign Revealed
Netflix recently announced a fully redesigned experience for its app on Android tablets with an iPad update said to be on its way “in the coming weeks.”
The layout is much cleaner and has a resemblance to the Netflix experience found in set-top boxes, gaming consoles, and other Netflix-ready devices. The update seems to have helped optimize the layout for the iPad’s display, removing the unnecessary white space from the previous design and replacing it with an elegant GUI. Each of the items in the new interface is sporting a large artwork and you can swipe between the individual rows of the titles.
Chief product officer at Netflix, Neil Hunt, said the following about the changes:
In the last 12 months we have seen a threefold increase in how long Netflix members are watching on their tablets. We’re happy to debut a new user experience coinciding with the release of the next generation of devices from industry leaders. The new Netflix interface offers a significant improvement in browsing and searching for TV shows and movies to instantly watch.
Are you excited for the soon to be released update?

This would be great for the iPhone as well, IMO. The iPhone netflix app is pretty bad too. Barely usable IMo.

They should work on releasing more newer movies for instant streaming. I'm tired of seeing under the "New Release" section movies from the 80's!!!

They really need to make this app more than just watching your streaming garbage. They need to not let us DVD/Blu-ray-only customers be refugees and have an app to manage our queues. I can see why they maybe didn't as they were going to totally split those services apart, but now that they've decided to stay as one unit, they have no excuse.
