DirecTV Patch for Streaming on Jailbroken iPad Released
Enable streaming from DirecTV on your jailbroken iPad device without manually changing values.
Thanks to Akshay Masand, one of our staff writers here at ModMyi, it was reported that DirecTV has updated their iPad application to allow streaming straight from home to your iPad. We soon learned though that DirecTV's new update wasn't too keen about allowing jailbroken users to utilize streaming. DirecTV made it a point to not allow jailbroken iPad users to use their new streaming capability and even went as far to display on screen the fact that you're jailbroken. Your only way around this screen was to head its instructions; go into iTunes and restore.
Farther down in the recent article, it was discussed how a simple value change inside the device's filesystem can make streaming work with DirecTV on your jailbroken iPad device. However, for those of us who may not be as proficient with navigating through the filesystem using iFile or SSH, may have been deterred from trying out the explained method. With the release of DirecTV iPad Patch by n00neimp0rtant, you don't have to change values manually anymore.
Simply go into Cydia, search "DirecTV iPad Patch" and install. After installation, everything is changed for you and you're good to go. Not value changing, no filesystem diving; you can sit back and relax, and enjoy DirecTV on your jailbroken iPad. Since this patch requires your iPad to be jailbroken (not to mention the patch is only applicable to jailbroken iPads anyway, it is only compatible on iPad devices that are running iOS 4.3.3 or iOS 5 (iOS 5 jailbreak is tethered and available for the iPad 1 only).
Name: DirecTV iPad Patch
The jailbreak community strikes again! Who's the masked man? Zorro? Batman or Robin? Nope. N00neimp0rtant.

I think it's funny that they block service to jailbreakers then jailbreakers find a way around it. Don't they know better?

Here's something I did yesterday that I found on this website:
So if it only works on 4.3.3 & someone is on 5.0 they can fix it. Thanks for the patch.
