Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel Making iPad 2 a High Tech Fixture in All Rooms
Beginning October 3, the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills will look a lot more attractive than it already does - especially if you're an Apple fan who thinks the iPad can - and should - be attached to every aspect of life.
The Four Seasons will become the first hotel on the West Coast (and the first Four Seasons property, for that matter) to offer ICE (Interactive Customer Experience) from Intelity on personal, in-room iPad 2 devices throughout all 285 guestrooms and suites.
The high class hotel announced Tuesday via press release that "this award-winning ICE technology allows guests to customize their stay and reach all areas of the hotel at the touch of the iPad2, including ordering in-room dining, restaurant reservations, valet parking, airport transportation, spa treatments, housekeeping requests, researching information on cultural and entertainment attractions, and much more."
Although iPads are increasingly more common in hotels these days, the practice is far from new. The Four Seasons in Scottsdale, Arizona has allowed guests to use an iPad poolside when renting luxury cabanas. At the Four Seasons in Washington, D.C., as another example, iPads have been available on loan for guests and are frequently used by the sales team at the facility.
Many hospitality experts believe that within 24 months, iPads in hotel rooms will be the rule rather than the exception at four and five-star hotels around the US and many hotels abroad.

Anyway I might have to stop buy one of these places next time I need a hotel and if I'm near one.

What's wrong with a phone call to guest services? Pick up the phone....call.....tell them what you want.....and they take care of the rest. Seems faster IMO. And you know for a fact that they did receive your request.
Sure beats navigating through iPad menus to get what you need.
This just seems like a nifty way to dish out some eye-candy and make their already over-inflated prices seem more justifiable.
