Comex Jailbreaks the iPad 2, Two Days After Launch

Once again comex has pushed out a jailbreak for a new device - this time within 2 days of the product launch. chpwn (who's been doing a lot of work on many UI updates to Cydia lately, and writes a host of popular tweaks in Cydia) tweeted a photo of Cydia running on a white iPad 2 just minutes ago.

After retweeting, comex posted:

would've had it yesterday if I didn't have to spend 1.5 days looking for a replacement exploit (which came from a most unexpected place...)

While the exploit is obviously working and Cydia is running on the device according to the picture, it hasn't yet been packaged into a pretty UI for public consumption. I'm sure we can expect to see that soon once it's tested and ready.

Notice Vagizon's fail signal. Oh and their slow-*** data too, probably took 15 minutes to load Cydia....

But great job to Comex! I can't wait for 4.3 untethered on the iPad 2 and iPhone 4 (GSM). And working mobile substrate etc. Stupid crApple and their ASLR, which was thought of implementing on an iDevice by a jailbreaker in the first place.

Just purchased ipad 2 of eBay, hopefully by the time I will receive it in london these champs should have the final ready version ready.. Can't wait
