Cartoon Network's Free Adult Swim App Includes Full Episodes
Adult Swim, Cartoon network's late night programming geared toward an older audience, has just released a free app that includes full-length episodes. Cartoon Network has had it's own for app some time now, but this is the first time that Adult Swim programming has been made available for a mobile audience. Best of all, this app is free and available now.
Adult Swim shows that are currently available include, “Robot Chicken, the Venture Bros., The Boondocks, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Family Guy, Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job!, Childrens Hospital, Delocated, Metalocalypse, Squidbillies...you're not going to make us list them all, are you?” the app description states.
The Adult Swim app is also a universal binary app, meaning that it is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad as well. The iPad version is not just a scaled up version either, but a full-fledged iPad app that includes a few features not available in other versions. Some of those features include, “Adult Swim music player, a clock, weather info, and a calculator. Yes, a calculator.” The Adult Swim app also includes show schedules and links to other Adult Swim apps as well.

One nice feature that I hope more video streaming apps adopt is the ability to view a description of the show that you’re currently watching. By pausing the program and hitting the little “i” button on the video playback controls, you can bring up additional information about the show such as, the name of the episode, TV rating and description of what you are about to watch. It’s a nice feature that can almost go unnoticed if you don’t know where to look for it. With so many people watching video on their mobile devices nowadays, it’s nice to see Adult Swim offer their programming to people on the go. Hopefully, Comedy Central will be the next network to offer free programming for iOS devices. Then I could stop using Skyfire to watch the Daily Show.

I downloaded it, loaded up an episode of Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, it played the video and audio perfectly for about 5 seconds, then the screen went blank and only the audio played. It's not the screen powering down, so I can't figure out what is causing it.
