Lawsuits like this make me think back to the one where a woman put her cat in the microwave to dry it after a bath and it obviously died a horrible death but she won the case because there was no warning against putting a living creature in a microwave.

If i bought a device that is supposed to be some kind of ebook-reader i would be pissed too if i couldn't use it in the sun.
People buy tablets to take them anywhere. They show that in almost every apple ad. I can understand why apple has been sued, it just contradicts the whole tablet-thing alltogether.

I don't know much about hardware but does the iPad have some kind of cooling at all?! It's not like you would hear a fan running like in my good ol' pc.

please tell me you're not that narrow minded.

ANY electronic device has a risk of overheating if left in the sunlight or in high temperatures for too long whether that would be an ipod, iphone, ipad, laptop, whatever. Just like staying out in the sunlight or heat for too long takes its toll on the human body. It's NOT just apple's products.


And no it doesnt have a fan, but i bet someplace in the little booklet you get with most electonic devices it will state "DO NOT OPERATE IN EXTREME TEMPERATURES" or something similar.
