ReBirth Now Available on the iPad
Propellerhead Software has released ReBirth for the iPad ($14.99). ReBirth is a powerful synth app that faithfully recreates legendary Roland synthesizers like the TB-303, TR-808 and the TR-909. These synthesizers helped define the sound of early techno music and are still being used to this day. By using the iPad’s Multi-Touch display, users will now have a degree of control not previously possible. You can now control more synthesizer knobs at a time, allowing for a more customized sound.
ReBirth makes it quite easy to share your musical creations with the world. It now includes Facebook integration and the ability to send songs through email. You can also save songs as MP3 files and share them with others as well. If you want to change the look of the app, just load a new skin and you’re good to go.
At first glance this app may look more like a toy than a full-features synth app, but don’t be fooled by its innocent good looks; ReBirth packs a powerful sonic punch. The look and feel of Roland’s classic synths is here of course, but there is so much more under the hood. ReBirth also includes a pattern-controlled filter, a distortion unit, a compressor, mixer, pattern sequencer and more. You could literally spend days with this app and still just scratch the surface of what it can do.
ReBirth has a long history in the recording industry. You’ve undoubtedly heard ReBirth in all sorts of songs and never even known it. ReBirth actually dates back to 1997 when it was initially released on the Mac. Since then, countless recording artists have used ReBirth in every imaginable genre of music. Now that ReBirth is available on the iPad and iPhone, I look forward to hearing what a new generation of musicians will create with this app.

the iphone version is too small, if you have an ipad, get the ipad version only!

I wonder if Propellerhead has any plans of making a version of Reason for the iPad. Now that would be awesome, even more so if you could send the file to your desktop and work on it from there with higher quality sound samples and rewire some VST's into it.
I'm not a big rebirth fan but the iPad version looks nice, the iPhone version is too cumbersome to mess with.

have this on my phone, you dont have to be confined to any particular genre w/ rebirth (hence its longevity)..
makes lovely downtempo stuff too!
i build percussion beats w/ this and play guitar over them <3
though it
feels a little cramped on the iphone,
seriously didnt consider an ipad til i saw this haha ;D
DO WANT."I accidentally upgraded my firmware.....again..."

The UI looks great and love the Way it works like StudioTrack in the AppStore but why no update or Relase Kong drum machine for the iPad plus the sounds are so old. If this is a start lets step it up propellerhead.

Yeah I don't like Techno either. Now that they've done rebirth they need to put a Reason version.

Omg, that's actually sick. I would buy an iPad just for this app, no joke lol. I use a lot of synth software on my college course (Interactive Media). I wish our college had iPad's so we could get this app!
