Coming This November to iPad: iOS 4.2

Apple today announced that it would finally bring the iPad up to date with the iPhone 4. iOS 4.2 is due for release this November and with it comes features that iPad owners have been patiently waiting for since the introduction of iPhone 4.
This update includes new features such as the ability to print directly from your iPad. Now when you create something in iWork, you will be able to print it out. Using the “Print Center” icon, located in the multitasking bar, you will be able to access these new printing features.
Multitasking is a welcome improvement for the iPad that we will all see in November. Expect the same seamless integration between apps on your iPad that you now have on your iPhone 4. Creating folders, a feature I could not live without, will now be standard issue for the iPad as well.
Air Play is a new feature that was an unexpected surprise. With it you will be able to stream audio, video, and pictures over Wi-Fi to your Apple TV. Imagine going over to a friend’s house with Iron Man 2 on your iPad and streaming it to their Apple TV in their living room. Come November this will be reality.
iOS 4.2 is also coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch as well, but I’m sure iPad users will be glad to finally get to use all the cool new features iPhone 4 users have had for some time now.

Can I get 4.2 beta?
When will 4.2 be jailbroken?
Will the dev team wait till 4.2 is released or will they JB 4.1 first?
I just wanted to throw out all the questions WE CAN'T ANSWER YET
That is all.

I have the first gen 160GB AppleTV. I don't think it will support AirPlay (at least not without a little modding ;o)) - but yeah, at $99 LOTS of people will be getting them - if only for Netflix. Roku dropped all their prices yesterday (as if they knew something).
The thing about AirPlay is that not everything will stream from your iPad or iPhone as 720p HD since much of that content is downsized and optimized for the smaller devices. The digital copy that came with my Alice In Wonderland Blu-Ray is a 853x474 movie on my iPad. HD is 1280x720. Still it will probably look decent blown up on a big screen.

I have one in my basement hooked up to the home theater system. I like it but it locks up quite a bit. Usually when it comes back on. I think of it as another choice to rent movies. Verizon is a dollar more per HD movie. Other then that we just use it for music. It's really nice with the iphone as the remote for it.

Yea crashed down on my world, Ill hold out untill April next year im guessing, If nothing by then or no solid facts about one coming out then Ill buy one. The air play will be great for going to friends houses or a get together since the iPads are so popular it would be cool to share videos and even pics on the TV.
