KT's Android Based iPad Rival Debuts

It's been a busy week in the tablet marketplace. Then again, with such a scarcity of other tablets to discuss in this market of 1 over the last six months, any tablet news that doesn't involve the iPad is, in effect, big news.
That's right. Today, South Korea's KT announced it will be marketing a tablet of its very own. The “Identity Tab,” as its known, sports a 7-inch screen and, you guessed it, is powered by Android. The KT device also includes a one-gigahertz CPU, 8GB of memory and a 3-megapixel camera. Apps will be available from KT’s Olleh Market or, needless to say, Google’s Android Market.KT, South Korea’s largest fixed-line operator, and the country’s second-largest mobile carrier by revenue, unveiled Monday plans to offer its “Identity Tab” tablet PC in early September.
KT says that it is “definitely thinking of launching the iPad in Korea,” but for now, the “Identity Tab” is somehow a greater priority. Don't even try to figure that one out.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the “Identity Tab” will come with a $23 price tag for a two-year KT contract. It will cost you just over $400 without any contractual commitment. According to the WSJ, most consider the KT tablet to be rather "cheap" when compared to the minimum $600 price tag for an iPad or Samsung’s Galaxy Tab in that part of the world.
So, without question, KT will have some stellar competition in the region. As the Journal notes, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab will be offered through SK Telecom, "KT’s main rival in the mobile market," in September. To add to the mix, LG’s tablet will likely also debut sometime during the fourth quarter.

I'm going to dub this an automatic fail until it turns into an iPad killer.
Asking for help is different from being stupid. Fanboys can rot in @#$%!

24 hour refund policy? meh. Are you REALLY going to carry around a tablet device for pictures when you have a BETTER camera on your iPhone? (no would be the answer). JAILBREAK?
Read this article about Android and open-source
What is Open-source and is Android really open-source?

People really don't understand the open source thing. It's not like 99% of Android users have any clue how to write code or develop their own apps, they pretty much do what everyone else does with their close-source phones.
But being able to change fonts and having a big settings menu helps kids think they're hackers! To live, you have to lie

Have not visited this wonderful site for a couple months, expect better from you Poseidon. I guarantee it has an SD slot, and it will be easy to root, and definitely won't be THE big player in the android tablet game. iOS users NEED to thank android for a lot of features in todays iOS4. C' mon lets have some sense and competition is always good.
