The baseband on the iPad 3G is the same as on the 3GS. Porting CoreTelephony to iPad is very possible

Hmm maybe its just me but I prefer my portable cell phone to actually be portable but that would just be stupid now wouldn't it

I don't see porting it to actually use it as a phone. Its more of a proof of concept thing.

so the ipad 3g supports tmobile sim or you have to jailbreak it and unlock it

Any news as to whether i can make calls on my iphone yet? It also be cool
If they ported ipad sms over to iphone also.
