MuscleNerd JBs iPad 3G, Spirit Not Released Yet

A brief update on the Dev-Team Blog noted that MuscleNerd was able to jailbreak his iPad WiFi + 3G within minutes of getting it out of the box, including a video showing how easily the new model fell to the userland jailbreak.

No firm release date has been set, but there's no time like the present to go about backing up your blobs: cache it on saurik's server, or - especially if the server is hit hard after the Spirit release - use Firmware Umbrella to save your SHSH blob to your hard drive.

To give people a couple days warning to back up their SHSH isn't too much to ask. Apple has pushed out a patch in less than 24 hours after an exploit becomes public in the past. Once Apple pushes the patch they no longer sign the current firmware if anyone has any problem for any reason you're stuck upgrading and then complaining about when the NEXT jailbreak will be out.
