Apple Worker: What if....we sell less iPads!
    Steve Jobs: GENIUS!
Apple worker: Then they won't have the iPad's to jailbreak...

Oh, and it's not like you guys wanted 20 iPads each, lmao, I guess there is the time when you have to gift it to others, after buying one for yourself, but yeah, credit card bypass worse case scenario...

So if you buy 10 iPads, which is a crazy amount, but lets say your buying them as gifts. When you reach that 10 lifetime limit you wouldn't be able to buy another iPad EVER AGAIN from the Apple store? Did I read that correctly? Now I know that you could buy more of them from Beat Buy or eBay.

Why are all of you making such a big deal over this? All Apple did was make a BS policy so they could turn away people who were obviously buying iPads to ship overseas. I mean, it is a crime to resell concert/sport event tickets isn't it?

All Apple is trying to do here is simply to protect their sales interest overseas. Why should a British customer be able to easily purchase an iPad for $500 US from overseas when it's probably going to be at least 50% more by the time it's available in the UK?

Apple is in business to make money. They always were. I guess since SJ stopped taking LSD sabbaticals, Apple just got better at it!

It's called free trade. Also, I doubt that they'd raise the base price of the unit by much if at all, for two reasons: firstly, there's nothing to suggest the people overseas have anymore disposable income than those in the US, hence aren't likely to be willing to pay more, and secondly, there's nothing to prevent someone overseas from simply ordering one online from a major retailer (whom this limit doesn't affect - it only hinders individuals taking advantage of the demand to make a quick buck). Most of the price increases overseas are actually caused by tax laws.
