Those Who Want an iPad Stylus Can Put a "Sock" in it

The business of iPad accessories will soon be booming. Until then, however, we're left to our own devices to create the makeshift accessories we most desire for our wicked cool new tablet. Our friends at "Make: technology on your time" recently covered the handy work of Adam Kumpf of the Seattle-based design firm Teague. Kumpf manufactured a do-it-yourself stylus fashioned from run-of-the-mill household items that can be used to experience and enjoy the iPad in a whole new way.
Whether you're simply dodging fingerprints or looking for a navigation advantage of some sort, a stylus does, indeed, have its place for use with the iPad. Before the tablet was launched, in fact, some expected the device to come with a stylus of some variety. Alas, that didn't happen. But with a little creativity and a suspension of your penchant for high-tech only gadgets, you too can have an amazing stylus for the iPad!
Even MacGyver would have to give mad props to this one.
It turns out that all you need to make a perfect stylus is a pencil, a static-resistant sock, and the scissor and pasting skills of a first grader. If you can handle all the above, a nifty little stylus can be yours for the amazing price of whatever a pencil and one sock will cost you if there are none already at your disposal. Complete step by step instructions can be found here.
While it's a safe bet that hundreds of thousands of new iPad owners aren't going to raid their sock drawers this weekend to make a stylus, there seems to be a palpable demand and interest in an iPad stylus. And, most likely, it won't be long before we have a plethora of stylus accessories from which to choose. Until then, however, we at least have a temporary home-made solution to satisfy our stylus craving.

ThinkGeek :: Pogo Sketch iPhone/MacBook Stylus
Styluses that work with the Touch/Phone/Pad have been out for a while, bud. I already have this one that I ordered a month ago, and its sold out right now (due to other like-minded people), but its pretty awesome and probably the best one out there.
