Apple Unveils iPad Tutorial Videos

Given the excitement swirling around today's video release, one might otherwise think a blockbuster film like Avatar just got an early DVD release. Actually, its Apple's latest video production that is all the rage. Today, Cupertino revealed a series of iPad tutorial videos designed to instruct users on the inner and outer workings of the forthcoming tablet.
On Saturday, the Juggernaut multimedia tablet will finally reach consumers. To help light a fire under this weekend's big roll-out, Apple has produced eleven iPad tutorial videos that cover a wide range of topics, from the much-hyped iBooks to the iPad incarnation of the iWork applications. In a nutshell, pretty much every essential function you could want an explanation of is delivered in some detail on one of the videos.
Each video spans only a few minutes but, collectively, they serve as a comprehensive guide to the iPad's multifaceted capabilities and, as a result, will likely serve up a plethora of useful tips to users who may be so excited to use their new "toy" come Saturday, that many attributes of the tablet would probably otherwise go initially unnoticed.
In short, the vids dish on iPad versions of Mobile Safari, Mail and Photos, how to enjoy multimedia experiences like video and music, and, naturally, how to purchase digital content like ebooks from the iBookStore. You can check out Apple’s iPad tutorial videos (which are available in QuickTime format) on the Apple website.

I do not think the keypad is amazing at all as one of the most important features is missing - either a number pad or a top row of numbers. Who on earth wants to keep pressing a key to bring up the numbers and then press another key to go back again - Not me thats for sure.
I have just watched the video for the iPad and if thats it then I think to spend $500 on a so called super piece of tecknology that appears to do very little but surf the webb, look at pictures, send email, Twitter and Facebook then I think it is a very very sad world and utter madness. Such a shame that its wasted in such a way when so much more could be acheived and probably will be after jailbreaking. But why should we have to jailbreak when Apple could do it all.Last edited by clive.weller; 03-29-2010 at 01:37 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Do you guys think some of the ideas will be integrated into the iphone 4.0 firmware. It seems like they'd be doing double the work other wise. Is anyone expecting a 4.0 release with the iPad?
